I tend to go to bed late, but believe it or not, I actually think getting up early is much better. Maybe only because I have to do it every once in awhile – then there is something special about it, where the darkness and quiet of the morning is a new encounter. You can curl up with a cup of coffee and have a little quiet time to focus yourself before the day gets going. I always feel so much more productive when I get up early. But – perhaps I’ll just keep it as an occasional treat!
I love to get up early! Sleeping is delicious, but I’m always anxious to wake up and start the day!
I’m a fan of sleeping in, no matter what time I go to bed. I do however wake up early every once and a while – it is nice to get things done early and still have the rest of the day.
Going to bed late. By the time I put my son down for bed, it’s my time to unwind…watch tv, read a book, take a bath and do things like this.
Early. I may not necessarily be a morning gal..but it’s definitely worth it to see that beautiful horizon… I like to lay in bed just long enough to feel the sun wash over my eyelids. Then I tiptoe downstairs to peek at my dog snuggled in a blanket, laying upside down of course, it makes my day.
Waking up early, on a day when I’m not groggy, can be great. I love opening the windows, letting in the sun, and the feeling that I have extra time to do what I want to do.
I’m a night owl, getting up early is always an ugly endeavor. But savoring that last glass of wine around 1am, when the night-birds are singing softly, and the world is quiet, only the stars are out, now that is the life deserving of silk slippers.
while i do love staying up late, those rare mornings that i wake up early are always the most refreshing and rewarding days. to have those extra few hours is like having a whole other day whether you end up just reading in bed or making pancakes or taking a walk.
for me, going to bed late is working out best. I have a family of early risers (the *teenagers* get up before 7 on weekends!!!) so if I want to get some alone time, it has to be late at night.
