LUCY B. COSMETICS ON THE BRIGHT SIDE PROJECT!

{please visit Lucy B. here}

Provided the stars are aligned (along with your attitude), there isn’t much you can’t get out of life.  Like Miss. B. and I often say, the harder we work, the luckier we get.  We believe our strong work ethic, positive attitude, prayers, and believe-it-and-it-will-happen philosophy will one day make The Bright Side Project front page news, or at least a few pages of O Magazine.  {Whenever you’re ready, Oprah.}

Not surprisingly, many of our contributors feel the same way.  Certainly that is the case for Lucy Baldock-Sacchi and Mario Sacchi of Lucy B. Cosmetics.  The husband and wife team have worked in the high profile industries of makeup, fashion, and advertising for over 15 years and credit this invaluable experience for creating the knowledge, energy and connections necessary to manifest itself into celebrity and media favorite, Lucy B. Cosmetics.  It doesn’t hurt that Lucy B. is unlike any other cosmetic range.  Lucy B. Cosmetics includes Australian Bush flower essences in each of their products, tapping into a concept known as vibrational healing.  The practice of vibrational healing concentrates on modalities that transform one’s energetic vibration.  Imagine that all form (gems, flowers, animals, etc.) has energy.  Studies dating as far back as 1930 have shown a flower’s vibrational imprint prepared in water can positively effect your own energetic imprint.  How do I know all this?  Aside from being a voracious reader, I’m from southern California.  It’s a residency requirement to know these things.  Now, don’t worry.  You don’t need glowing chakras or a firm belief in vibrational healing to enjoy Lucy B. Cosmetics.  The Pink Frangipani perfume smells like a tropical dream even for those with feet planted firmly on the ground–and that’s a fact.

nationwide at select stores, including the much loved Anthropologie. In order to win the perfume set, please answer the following question by Monday, November 23, 2009.

Lucy B believes that six deep breaths a day can improve your life. What do you do to improve your life?

    Sharon says:

    I act on my creativity. I believe that we all are creative, but that many of us do not make time to explore it and we tamp it down or ignore it. I am trying not to do that. I’m much happier when I am creative.

    Laura says:

    Art. I create everyday. Even if I on;y have 10 minutes before I fall asleep I put paint on the paper, I write about my day, I doodle if I have nothing to say. I used to have trouble, I didn’t know where to begin. So I decided to make one mark every single day. Painting the page blue. Writing one word. Now my creativity flows from my fingertips constantly, I carry my journal every day. Art helps me to heal, it helps me to express myself and it improves my life everyday!

    I believe in identifying five good things every night before I go to bed, no matter how bad or boring a day because then it reminds me that there was good things that happened. :D That improves my life

    Aubrey says:

    Actually, ***perfume IS the way I improve my life***. No matter how stressed out I am at work, or what else is happening in my life, perfume gives me a momentary reprieve. I’ve been a serious perfume hobbyist since February, and I wear a different perfume every day, and have a large collection. Sitting at my desk, I’ll get whiffs of the fragrance on the air around me.

    These whiffs serve as fragrant reminders when I am stressed to take a break and “smell the flowers”. Even when life makes no sense, it makes sense to stop for a moment and experience the beauty around us. I think that this is the point of all art– to remind us that there is beauty outside of what is happening to us.

    I journal every single day — it’s a wonderful stress reliever and a great way to reflect on the blessings of the day, rather than the negative aspects.  I really think it improves the quality of your life! :)
