April Theme :: Planting the Seed

April has arrived. That means spring is here! Spring always feels like a new beginning, don’t you think? As the green starts to replace the brown and the sun starts to sit in the sky longer each day, the world starts to feel as though it is slowly awakening from a nap. There is a palpable shift in the air that speaks of hope and goals and journeys. This is the time of year when we plant our gardens, getting the ground ready for growth. This is both literal and metaphorical.

Literally speaking, we have been busy planting seeds in the backyard the past few weeks. While my gardening endeavors are amateur at best, we recently dug some rows along the edge of the yard and planted watermelon seeds, pumpkin seeds, and sunflower seeds. Every single day, we go out and check on them. We clean up the weeds, water them slowly, marvel at the growth. On a metaphorical level, the full circle of planting a seed and nurturing it until it grows has manifested itself into so many different ways in my life. And I’m thinking the rest of you in our community must experience the same feelings.

This month, we want to focus on how and where we plant our seeds, how we nurture, where we grow. We will spotlight artists who inspire us with their own personal growth stories and we will share brands and products that can aid in your process as well. After all, the greatest growth starts from just a seed. Happy April, friends.
