ALLIEBEANS
We couldn’t very well do a ‘Back to School’ themed project without offering the ubiquitous pencil case, now could we? We searched high and low for one that would rival all the other pencil cases in the neighborhood, one that would make you smile each time you pulled it out of your Cambridge satchel (or the bag/back pocket of your choice). We think Alliebeans creator, Allie Yiu did a fine job of filling the spot.
San Francisco based Yiu is an architect by day and pouch maker by night (and like myself a lover of all animals big and small but especially small, okay I threw tat last part in–projecting). Yiu is so committed to her animal love that she donates a portion of her sales to various animal charities each month. This month she is donating 10% of her sales to the Marine Mammal Center which makes this guilt free shopping in my book! Allibeans is a collection of ‘practical products’. Yiu’s design philosophy is simple–she asks herself if she would use it? If the answer is yes it goes in the line. You will find items such as phone pockets, the ‘porta’ pouch (perfect for your i.d. and credit card), the adorable baby box pouches with key ring which the product description begins–‘the cutest littlest pouch to have ever existed…’ All of Yiu’s fabric follow her ‘keep it simple’ philosophy but have just enough ‘oompf’ to keep them from ever veering into boring country. We think that Yiu may just grab the title of ‘pouch princess’ soon.

Obviously it would be a musical. So it would probably be called – Life, the Musical.
When God created the stars.
Good Luck and Bad Decisions
a still small voice…it would be a movie about one person still having the power to make change…
My movie would be called – Utterly Confused yet Seemingly Smart
It would be called Richardsonshine, just like my blog. I try to find happiness in every situation and right now I have MUCH to be happy about – wonderful husband, children, extended family, talents…. I’ve been so blessed in my life!
The romantic, practical, intelligent, air-headed woman: A story of contradictions.
My movie would be called : Seemingly innocent
City of Dionne.
Because I feel like my life is a city sometimes. So many different things going on all at the same time. I have lots of interesting characters in my life, lots of weird events. Yep – City of Dionne would be perfect for the title.
I’m going to borrow a line from Tracy Chapman:
“Done So Many Things Wrong, I Don’t Know If I Can Do Right.”
Go Figure…
Texas Girls, Approximately
A Perfect Day for Bananafish
3000 Miles From Home
“I Clean Up Real Nice”
Um.. I already entered with Bambi 2, but that’s pretty crap and I’ve been thinking again and again about what I could call it (I’m sad like that)
ooh, actually I’m Sad Like That would be quite a good name…. or Something Else (which is what I was thinking to write). They’re supposed to sound quite sad and pittyful but I think it would be a funny movie… making a comedy out of all the wrong things that happen in your life… I see my life much better through laughing :)
I’ve always loved the insane construction of Lifetime movies titles, so let’s go with this.
Corn Syrup Queen: The Girl Who Ate Far Too Much Candy Corn, the Kate Burgener Story.
Also, wow, candy corn has sesame oil in it? Random.
The Life of a Professional Daydreamer
Sweet Tooth
“The day Tiffany Stood Still”
Out of Her Comfort Zone
Zip, Zap, Sleep.
I Think I Meant To
Get On With It – Nothing drives me more insane than talking talking talking about something and not doing anything about it. Lets get on with it!
Craaaaaazy Cat Lady
The movie would be titled: Life with Loralei: What does not kill us, makes us stronger.
My movie would have to be titled “I Philosophize.”
La Dolce Vita
Having six gorgeous sons. My movie would
Be called “for all the right reasons”..thanks for
This opportunity
‘What?’
So many ideas pop into my head with this question! I could use my blog title “Happenings on Chaos Ranch”. Or I could focus on a rough period that I’m going through and use “I Should be Enough”. Then again, I think it’s the everyday things that make life so intersting. I think I’ll pick “Life Between the Lines”.
“So Nerdy I’m Cool” – the life and times of an endearing, lovable dork who learns to embrace and harness her geekdom to better her life and the lives of those around her.
“Accidentally Perfect.”
WIP (work in process).
“Extra-Ordinary”……because I do so much but so does every other working mom!
Great question! “How did I get to be 43?” I feel fare younger, I don’t associate myself with 40 somethings, NPR and PBS are not my favorite entertainment channels, and my oldest child is just 9! So many things to do and wham, where did the time go!
My movie would be “Finding Your Way” because I don’t really know what I’m doing or where I’m going just yet!
At 24 and a hopeless romantic, I flew from the states to Ireland to meet a man I had only known for 2 months. I had the best time of my life and couldn’t help but feel like the whole ordeal would fit perfectly into the latest blockbuster. The reality of the situation is that it did not end happily ever after, and the distance proved to be an unbeatable obstacle.
However if I were to title my movie it would be: Hopeful
hiccups
Still waiting to grow up.
Life With a Smile
Regret Undone
Lucky…
Fun giveaway with fabulous prizes! Not my movie title, just my feeling.
hmmm…
“A Day Late… A Dollar Short” ;)
“Fish House Blues” – Because I spent the better part of my early life in a fish house singing with my brothers and sisters. We weren’t blue in the least bit, but “Fish House Sound of Music/80s Pop/Show Tunes” doesn’t quite have the same ring to it.
Just Can’t Get Enough
An inside look at a woman trying to accept herself…
It’d be called “She Finally Settled Down”.
Although my sister thinks “Semi-crazy cat lady” is apt, I’d go with “The girl with no lucky whatsoever”. :/
Life Moves Too Fast!
“And So On”
