LAUNCH! E.L.F. COSMETICS

Sunday, November 1, 2009

e.l.f. launches november on the bright side project!

{please visit e.l.f. cosmetics here}

The List.  I think that Miss K and I may be taking some sort of genius supplements, do you agree? A gift to give. A gift to keep. Oh, and on this very special launch we are throwing in one extra prize because we love you. I am sure by now our devotion to you is evident.  It is you, dear reader, who keeps us working feverishly around the clock for nada, rien, zip.  Our friends and family think we are bonkers (and perhaps we are) but when we see the number of comments tipping over the 200 plus mark, we know that it is not for naught.  We know you are spreading the word (and in turn the sunshine) to your friends, family and complete strangers because the more The BSP  grows the sunnier it gets here.  We do hope this month brings out your inner blabbermouth because we want the contributors who have so generously devoted their promotional budgets to your pleasure (and pocket book) to get some well deserved recognition.  We know you can do it.  We are counting on you…

So with that may we introduce our launch for November’s The List?  This is for the ‘Makeup Maven’ on yours.  You know who she is, perhaps you are as deeply devoted as she?  Well, we hope so, because you get to take home one of these kits as well.  The offering is from the makeup revolutionaries E.L.F. Cosmetics, Eyes. Lips. Face.  The company founded in 2004 by entrepreneur Joseph Shamah, who single handily decided the beauty industry needed a makeover.  Shamah brought to market innovative technology, quality ingredients and superb delivery systems previously limited to prestigious retailers.  Why, he asked, did you need to pay your next month’s rent for a lipstick when you could get equal, or dare we say better quality from E.L.F.?  Most of his products start at $1.  No, that’s not a typo, one buck.  One hundred pennies.  Less than that latte you are  sipping. Lest you think that price does not equal performance, E.L.F. has been lauded by beauty expert powerhouses such as Elle, InStyle, Lucky and Marie Claire, amongst others.  This, my dears, is the real deal. I have already amassed a laundry list of items that I must have and haven’t even hit the ten dollar mark! E.L.F. will soon be available at a Target or Zeller’s near you, so kudo’s to them because the more success they have the more makeup I can afford and that’s worth celebrating!

E.L.F. Cosmetics  is  giving away to one VERY lucky winner (yes, one person gets all of the above to GIVE + KEEP!) {1} 27 piece mini, {1} 83 piece Essential Makeup Collection (medium), {1} 141 (YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT!), 141 piece Master Makeup Collection.  In order to win, please answer the following question by Sunday, November 8, 2009.
Who is your beauty idol and why?
Please start checking the winner’s box on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 to see if you won. Good Luck!

    Ladytink_534 says:

Cliched, but Audrey Hepburn because she’s gorgeous yet it all looks natural and refined.

my mom is my beauty idol! She is the most beautiful woman ever!!! growing up she never let us wear a lot of make up. Mascara was only allowed once we were in high school. nothing else. I always thank her for that because of that I am ok with me without makeup! Dont get me wrong… I very rarely leave the house without my face on…. but if I did…. it wouldnt be the end of the world.

  3. 253
    Courtney says:

Nigella Lawson. She is absolutely stunning. I think it is a result of loving and enjoying life, and for her, that means expressing herself through the culinary arts. She absolutely takes my breath away when I watch her.

  4. 254
    Esperanza P. says:

I would have to say my beauty idol is my grandma. She always manages to look young, polished and lovely all the time, even in her 80’s. When I’m her age I hope I look as put together and beautiful as her.

  5. 255
    Diana WR says:

My beauty idol is Jackie O. who always managed to be beautiful but also poised and full of grace.

Thanks for the link on this one. It will certainly help with my list!

  6. 256
    Kim Henning says:

Sophia Loren. Beautifully aging and still not fitting into any particular stereotype of beauty. I can only hope that I will age gracefully and at some point learn to love what I have and flaunt it rather than wishing to be like others. Sexy in your seventies? Who can’t admire that?

  7. 257
    Theresa says:

keri russell; she hardly wears any make-up which says a lot about her personality: incredibly down-to-earth.

  8. 258
    Kathie says:

Jamie Lee Curtis – I was so impressed that she spearheaded the magazine spread with no make up, no airbrushing. She just seems so comfortable in her own skin, and that is inspiring.

  9. 259
    Carly says:

Marcia Cross- I would love to have her lovely skin tone and to look ravishing in red hair. Her whole look comes across very nicely.

  10. 260
    Jennifer says:

Olivia DeHaviland. I could watch her in any of her movies over and over again. She was so full of grace and a real classy lady! That’s why I named my daughter who’s now 14 after her.

  11. 261
    Jodie says:

Cate Blanchett – she’s always beautiful and healthy looking yet she doesn’t promote the ‘tanned’ look. She proves that you don’t have to risk skin cancer to look naturally beautiful and healthy. Her make up always appears flawless, natural and classy.

  12. 262
    Holly says:

Old Hollywood- the simple, sophisticated glamour will continue to inspire me. I draw inspiration from the many startlets of old Hollywood who seemed to pull off being glamorous, sexy and beautiful in the most refined way.

  13. 263
    TiffyB says:

I really like scarlett Johansson, her style reminds me of old hollywood. She has a classic beauty to her and always keeps her look fresh.

  14. 264
    Trecia says:

My 102 yr old great grandmother. A shock it may sound, but really, the fact that she stills look this good, is indeed a blessing. I can’t remember her with make up… but one thing, i hope to be blessed like her one day.. a beautiful woman loved by many.

  15. 265
    Emma J says:

Michelle Obama. She looks gorgeous all of the time. She is a great model for tall, athletic women and shows that there is no need to shy away from heels and that toned arms make an evening gown all the more stunning. Mrs. Obama has broken barriers for all future first ladies to come.

  16. 266
    Nicole N. says:

My boss always looks pulled together and lovely despite her busy and hectic life.

  17. 267
    Michell says:

alyson hannigan – she has a very different look than most starlets.

  18. 268
    meg says:

lauren hutton. she always gets it just right.

  19. 269
    Meg g. says:

My sister; who, right before my very young, admiring eyes, transformed from a big haired madonna look alike, to a slick independent lady of the 90’s (red lipstick and all), to a hip mom of three, into a stunning example of grace, love, and middle-age perfection. I can only hope genetics treat me so kindly.

  20. 270
    Isabel says:

My best friend. It is not just that she is good looking (she is!), she is able to use all the make up perfectly.

  21. 271
    natalyn says:

I have a few, but one of them is Audrey Hepburn. She was so elegant and chic and sophisticated; a timeless beauty.

  22. 272
    Dana says:

Natural beauties who don’t try too hard, like Natalie Portman.

  23. 273
    Lisa says:

I think Jennifer Aniston always looks great, not too much makeup, just a girl-next-door look!

  24. 274
    trixx says:

My beauty idol is Kate Winslet, she just glows & doesn’t need much cosmetics, she’s a natural beauty!

  25. 275
    Meghann says:

My mom. She taught me that a smile goes further than any makeup can in letting your beauty shine through.

  26. 276
    Lauren says:

My beauty idol would have to be my cousin. She looks effortlessly put together at all times. She wears little to no makeup, she has great skin, she has her own personal style that she pulls off like a rockstar and a great smile to boot. Not only that, but she is a vegan so all of her makeup, clothes, etc. are cruelty-free. I’m not vegan, but I really admire someone who is so put together, looks great and can do it while proudly standing behind something she belives in so passionately.

  27. 277
    Laurie says:

My daughter…she has many different looks and they are all amazing!

  28. 278
    Lisa Rucker says:

    Zooey Deschanel. She’s lovely.
