Some people stumble upon their destiny early in life. I think Jessica Lynne Constable is one of those lucky ladies! At the ripe young age of 15, she was inspired by her friend’s handcrafted jewelry and decided to try her own hand at this art form. Her hands did a pretty good job and soon she was peddling her beaded anklets under the name “Starlette Jewelry.”  By the time Constable graduated high school, over a dozen stores carried her budding jewelry line. While going to college, her business grew up a bit and the name evolved to Jess LC.  Her part-time jewelry-making helped earn extra cash and, before she knew it, plenty of experience too. The catalog she spent many an hour working on garnered the attention of Macy’s and landed Constable an internship in product development.  Then, in 2007, Constable graduated with the title of Entrepreneur of the Year and moved her business to Chicago. Her teenage hobby has officially blossomed into a full time gig and Jess LC is now carried in 100 stores across the country and online sales are delivered around the globe.  Quite a perfect inspiration for independent artists and designers!

Now I bet you want to hear about this jewelry that is years in the making.  Jessica LC (as she is called) still designs the pieces, which are handcrafted.  All of the jewelry is made with 14k gold-filled or sterling silver chain which is adorned with materials like dyed jade, cubic zirconium and Swarovski crystal. The price tags remain small while retaining quality and craftsmanship. Each necklace, bracelet and earring evokes a simple, modern style that retains classic elements making it wearable for years to come.  The thing I love most about each Jess LC piece is that it can be incorporated into any outfit on any woman–the styles are timeless, elegant and a perfect finishing touch. I assure you that any lady would love to own one of these pieces and now is your chance to see what I mean…

Miss Lindsey, our Honorary Ambassador of Sunshine and Weekend Editor, seeks gratitude every day and believes life is a celebration. She blogs about creative, inspiring and beautiful finds at her blog, GreatFull Day.

What self-respecting romantic would not love to have been wooed by the Emperor Shah Jahan? The Taj Mahal is an incredible testament to love and it would be a great honor to inspire such a passionate visionary.

Pablo Neruda! Besides the obvious– anyone would love to hear his heart-melting poetry in person– he always wrote in green ink, which I think is adorable, and won a Nobel Prize. He had a absolutely fascinating political history that was also volatile, which would definitely make for an interesting date : )

Even though she was a woman, I would go on a date with Jackie O. She is an American icon, and one of my role models. I want to learn how she was so classy and fabulous despite her prestigious life…and I think she would be fun to hang out with, too!

There are so many I’d like to talk to, so I’ll go with L. DaVinci because he was into so many things. Painting (which I love to do), anatomy, mechanics, and so much more. I’d like to see what he would do in this era. The possibilities would be endless.

There are so many people I would love to be able to meet, but most of them were depressed artists. So for a date, I think Oscar Wilde or Noel Coward would have been a hoot!

Albert Einstein without a doubt. I teach eighth grade science and have a huge poster of Al making a goofy face and quoting “I have no particular talent. I am merely inquisitive.” I approach teaching with a certain sense of humor (eighth grade…hello! humor is a necessity!!!) I think I would have the most unbelievable time hanging with Einstein and learning what made him tick.

I would go on a photography date with Walker Evans. We’d find a picturesque spot and hopefully I’d learn a thing or two about how to capture patina and texture in photography. Maybe we’d have dinner afterward in some classic diner.
