CLUTCH THAT! ROSEMARY BALAZS

A little black dress is never complete without the ideal handbag. And the fabulously feminine designs by Clutch That! are meticulously crafted, Audrey Hepburn-worthy confections perfect for your LBD, a wedding gown or a pair of jeans.

As designer Rosemary Balazs says, “Who can resist the sumptuous feeling of 100% pure silk in their hand?” In addition to dupioni silk, she fashions her bags from fine cotton linens and upholstery-grade velour. Clutch That! handbags are luxurious in and out., the silk linings layered with hypoallergenic batting and a heavy stabilizer. “This gives my clutches structure and a nice soft padded feel in your hand.” They’re finished off with antiques kiss-lock frames. They also can be monogrammed which makes me happy to no end. It reminds me of the pieces my grandmothers had with those little touches in the 1950s. Cue the Mad Men theme now….

Balazs specializes “in peacock fabrics and designs but also offer many other styles. Each bag is made by me with the greatest attention to detail.” Rosemary’s discerning eye is evident upon first view of the Clutch That! site, where “saffron dupioni silk” and “scrumptious silk brocade” bags are embroidered with intricate feathers, flora and fauna.

Perfect for evening, Rosemary’s designs would work beautifully as a purse within a purse, for those of you like me who carry an enormous tote. Switch from day to night by simply pulling a little glam out of your everyday bag and let your inner Holly Golightly shine.

I’m a political junkie so it would have to be in that field for sure. I want to be able to carry things as fabulous as those purses but know that I’m always taken seriously because I know my stuff.

I would like to be a writer of books of excellence. Interesting, riveting stories of truth and/or fiction that tell a great story and leave a lasting impression/message.
My first impression was to say a great doctor/research, etc. that would make a lasting difference for good health for the world in general….but my real love is writing……… that is where my heart is and where my real strength would lie.

Relationships because every interaction between more than one, whether it be between a person and God or a person and another person. Love comes from understanding and accepting the other person’s love as unconditional and showing how each person can love others unconditionally and without doubt or a lack of self esteem.

    Brenda says:

To be an expert, like my Bible instructor, in awakening people to the exciting Hebraic roots of Christianity would be my heart’s desire. Understanding the biblical feasts and festivals and learningthe meaning of the Old Testament verses with an understanding of the culture of that time period is eye-opening, rewarding and a true revelation. Halleluyah!

Education – more specifically classroom management. I would want to put out a book or a website of ideas for new and old teachers on ideas of classroom management for each grade, since it is an area every teacher has issues with.

I do enjoy writing, and realize that I am not gifted with the ability to write books – just short articles. But I think I would like to be best known as a person who always dealt honestly and kindly with people in whatever I do.

these are BEAUTIFUL. i’d love to become a world expert in songwriting. i’d have to learn a lot first, but the arts are as much about technical skill as they are the life that we’ve lived, and i love that.

    Meg says:

Astronomy. I’ve been a stargazer since I learned to walk, and though my incomprehension of relativity and electromagnetism meant I ended up with a BA degree instead of a BS, somewhere in a parallel universe there is another Me whose mind works a bit differently and who is an expert astrophysicist. Kind of like Jodie Foster in Contact, but probably cracking the mysteries of dark matter instead of working with SETI; and stylish, too…remember the plum-lavender dress she wears to a party in the middle of the movie? 12 years later and I still think it’s gorgeous. In this universe I’m an artist, but the cosmos has always fascinated me (how incomprehensibly amazing is it that something like a galaxy or a black hole exists?).

My first reaction is weddings, because that is my career. Upon further thought though, I would have to say parenting :)

    Lauren N. says:

Giving Love freely. Known for sending out love to those I know and care for and those I have never met or have just met. The world, as a whole needs to love more, openly and freely, without expecting anything in return. I know it may sound corny, but telling someone you love them feels amazing; we all need to tell people, in general, ‘i love you’ more often. It makes the world a better place one tiny step at a time and warms your soul and strengthens it. To give love freely, not needing or wanting to receive something in return, because it’s the human thing to do is something I’d love to be known for.

Nutrition. I’d love to know the ins and outs on why food interacts the way it does and how it can go wrong depending on certain circumstances in a person’s body. It was my undergrad major, and then I moved on to culinary school, because I had this enormous fascination with food. Now I want to go back and learn all I can about the science of it – combine health with an Alton Brown type approach to studying food. So fun!

I couldn’t pick writing or art… trust me, I am no Rembrandt. To be that talented at anything I’d have to change the way I do it, so there would no resemblance to my style. I’d more like to be top in the pencil sharpening world- I think that would be original as well.
Then again I’ve never looked into it.

Linguistics – it’s like the underlying thread that ties everything that comes out of our mouths, all over the world, together. To be able not to know what people are saying, but the what, the why, and the how – to show people that the things that our simple mouths say, the way we each make an S, our glottal stops, our open vowels, are so much the same. That the mechanics of how we say are so similar, despite the differences in what we say, and thats what makes us so human.

Instead of the horse whisperer or dog whisperer, I would like to be the word whisperer helping any child learn to read.
