{please visit bread of many here}

When Haley Dolan Katko said being featured on The Bright Side Project made her feel like she’d “just got called to be a contestant from the audience of The Price is Right” I knew I was going to have fun writing about her business!  Have I mentioned I love The Price is Right? Cheesy game shows aside, Haley is a quirky girl that fiends paper, likes candy, and has a cat. She describes herself as a stationer, illustrator and musician who is interested in the art of imagination. So it will come as no surprise that her shop, Bread of Many is terrific!

Aiming to cure the world of one mass produced card at a time, Haley strives to make Bread of Many a paperie that she herself would love.  Hand lettering and whimsical illustrations adorn greeting cards, stationery and invitations. Each paper product has the same fun spirit that Haley herself embodies making them a pleasure to share but hard to part with!

    Brooke says:

I am more likely to believe in ghosts….it gives me hope that there is something after death.

  2. 102
    Jenny says:

Ghosts because I think sometimes you can feel their presence and when someone you love passes you can sometimes feel them in the things you do.

  3. 103
    Jennifer says:

I’m more inclined to believe in ghosts, although I don’t ever want to see or hear one!

  4. 104
    Krista says:

Aliens- I can’t imagine we are the only planet with life out there!

  5. 105
    Bailey S. says:

Aliens – I figure there’s enough planets out there, someone has to be out there!

  6. 106
    Victoria Terlap says:

    hmm…I’d have to say ghosts.

  7. 107
    Jen says:

Aliens. My great grandfather, who was born in 1893 and died when he was almost 100 years old, was an incredible man who started working on the first model cars in the 1920s. I was lucky to spend him when I was a child, and to get to know his hard-working, humorous and generous nature. He was never prone to lying or exaggeration or telling stories. He was a very “tell it like it is” sort of man. And he once shared a story, first with his children, and then others, that he had a very close encounter with aliens when he was a younger man. I knew him well enough to know he would never have made that up. Still gives me the chills, even thinking about it!!

  8. 108
    mc says:

i honestly believe ghosts and aliens are both just as likely to exist, but if i had to pick one over the other, i would pick ghosts. the human spirit is hard to break – something not even death can extinguish.

  9. 109
    katie f says:

ghosts, they are more convincing. if aliens did exist im not sure that we would know or meet them, in any case they are probably fine on their own planet. but ghosts i think one could run into one in any place… maybe i watch too many movies though.

  10. 110
    Jo M W says:

I honestly think aliens are far more likely to exist, especially if you include living organisms on a microscopic level. Scientist have found microorganisms that live of heat at the bottoms of our oceans (under extreme pressures) so other single-celled beings must exist somewhere in our skies!

  11. 111
    Nindy says:

I always say I don’t believe in ghosts but that I believe in Angels. Ghosts sound scary but Angels are sent by God to protect us. (I def don’t believe in aliens)

  12. 112
    kristen k. says:

probably ghosts. i’m not scientific enough to be able to justify a belief in aliens. but i do believe a soul is eternal.

  13. 113
    Jenny L says:

i would say both, ghosts because i have felt a presence that was not there in my house several times and aliens because there is no way that it’s just us amongst all of the galaxies out there.

  14. 114
    Sydney S says:

I’m more likely to believe in ghosts then aliens, only because I had a personal experience in my granparent’s house that was unexplainable, other then a ghost. From that day on, on new there was more to our world then what we can see with our eyes. I’ve never thought of it as scary, it was actually very serene.

  15. 115
    tracy says:

ghosts! i often feel their presence…the spirit & energy of those that have passed very much carry on in the lives of those still walking the earth.

  16. 116
    Nicci says:

I’d say I believe in ghosts. I think of them as spirits. I also think of most of them as good spirits. They are my family before me that have or will help mold my life. They are constant reminders of what I achieve to be like. They are great examples. Also they give me comfort to know that care to hang around.

  17. 117

Aliens, because I feel like one most days :)

  18. 118
    Nom N. says:

aliens, cuz even if they both existed, aliens are tangible. and i dont hting gohsts can smile. i only believe in things that seem to want to exist.

  19. 119
    Allison W says:

Aliens. I’m a biologist, I’ve studied evolution and genetics, and from what I have learned, the universe is so immense that there is no way life could NOT exist somewhere out there. Even though the conditions for life have to be so very precise, there are just so many planets out there, there has to be something.

That, and I wrote an epic novel about other life out there, so I have a bit of a soft spot.

  20. 120
    Jocelyn says:

Both, but I certainly believe in ghosts. I found my great-aunt’s old journal, and she used to write frequently about a ghost that lived in her family’s house and all of the pranks he would pull on her sisters. She was very convinced that the ghost was real, and the rest of the family was as well. She writes about that ghost in a very matter-of-fact way, as if there were no question that he were a real supernatural being. I’ve believed in that ghost (and others) ever since!

  21. 121
    Julie R says:

I believe there are ghosts – more like spirits of those who we loved and have passed on. The veil between life and death can feel so close at times and that is something quite beautiful.

  22. 122
    Gandhali says:

I’m happy to say that I believe in neither.

But if I *had* to choose one, I’d say the latter. Not an alien in the strictest sense, but a teensy living organism, somewhere out there.

  23. 123
    Sharon says:

Definitely ghosts, because I’ve had several experiences with ghosts or spirits.

The one I’ll never forget was the day my father passed away. I had come home from the hospital after taking care of everything there that I needed to attend to. I was emotionally exhausted and I just wanted to lay down for a bit and sleep. I didn’t think I’d be able to turn off my mind, but I went up to bed anyway. I don’t know how long I was laying on my right side on the bed, open eyed, when I felt someone sit on the bed behind me. I felt the bed push down with the weight of the “person” and then I felt a warm, heavy weight rest against my back as if someone was leaning on me. I actually turned around to see who was there. No one was physically there and I knew it was my father. That he had come to comfort me, to let me know that he was fine. I could still feel the weight on my back as I fell asleep.

This was not the only time my father visited during the first several months after his passing. Actually, he still visits, but not as often and the visits aren’t as vivid.

  24. 124
    Cecil says:

Tough choice. I’d like to believe in aliens because it’s hard to imagine that we’re the most intelligent beings out there. At the same time I’d like to believe in ghosts because even though ghosts are supposed to be souls that are not at rest, I think that when I die I would want to stick around to watch over my family…not in a scary/creepy way though.

  25. 125
    cimba says:

aliens, because I’m one of them!

  26. 126
    Lauren says:

Thinking logically, I would say aliens. The universe is far too vast to only contain us spinning on this globe. Of course, I’m also open to the possibility of ghosts. I don’t like the thought of someone being trapped on Earth, but I do like the thought of energy holding the same form—at least for a little while.

  27. 127
    Sarah says:

Well, I’m more likely to believe in ghosts, because the ghost of the witch of Endor appeared to Saul in the BIble. So, there is more Biblical support for that one, even though I don’t understand it.

  28. 128
    Kirsi says:

Aliens, the universe is just too big for there not to be anything else out there.

  29. 129
    jennifer says:

well, i’ve always believed in faeries…still do. as a child, i “saw” faeries, and my father was convinced i had been abducted by aliens. he used to always tell me that faeries and aliens were the same beings – people just have different ways of explaining them. and so, i guess – from at least one perspective – i believe in aliens…..
    there you have it!

  30. 130
    Amanda says:

I don’t actually believe in either. BUT…if I did I would have to say ghosts. Being a Christian, I do believe that Satan can appear in the form of a ghost.

  31. 131
    Sarah C. says:

Although I hope I never bump into either, I am more inclined to believe that aliens exist somewhere, out there. Besides, I’ve always thought ET was way cuter than Casper, and who’d want to bump into a ghost?? Not me!

  32. 132
    Courtney says:

    Ghosts.

No lie, my husband’s and my first house was haunted. Walking around past you, opening up doors for you (we came back from vacation to an open back door despite it being dead bolted before we left and there was absolutely no sign of a forced entry), driving our dog crazy, tapping on windows, turning off electronics, pulling down shower curtains… overall he was a pretty pleasant ghost as long as we respected “his home.” It wasn’t too terrifying until we started to pack our things to move and apparently he didn’t like that we were leaving. He left fingernail scratch marks in the paint on our back door, turned on stove burners when we weren’t there… seriously not nice things.

So yea, I believe in ghosts. And yes, I know that makes me seem super crazy :) I never would have believed it had we not lived there.

  33. 133
    erinkathleen says:

I believe in ghosts. But I don’t like the word ghost. I believe in spirits and memories and friendly whispers. I talk to people that are gone all the time, and sometimes I can imagine what they would say back. I believe in a presence that people and animals leave behind when you love them.

  34. 134
    becky says:

The universe is so expansive, it’s hard not to believe there isn’t *something* out there — be that aliens or ghosts. Could there even be alien ghosts? Woah.

  35. 135
    Rene says:

Ghosts for sure… I’m have a very romantic type personality and that’s just a better fit.

  36. 136
    Sonia says:

When I was younger, I used to think that dandelion seeds were “flower ghosts” and that when you blew them off of their stems to make a wish, you were releasing their spirits into the air. I do believe in the ghosts in the traditional sense, yes, but I also believe in them in a less expected way– every woman has the ghosts of her own past, little reminders that send shivers up her spine or run a tantalizing chill down her arm. For example, when you walk by an open window and smell the sun and freshly cut-grass that reminds you of summer or when your kitchen fills with the aroma of freshly-baked cookies or apple pies, certain memories are inevitably evoked. Who is to say that the scents that trigger these memories are not the ‘ghosts’ of the events that happened? That summery smell is there to remind you of that best June of your life- the one you spent sprawled out on the grass, eating cherry popsicles and always making sure to save one for the boy next door after he finished playing in the pick-up soccer game across the park (but in your line of sight, of course!). The cinnamon-apple steam that rises out of your oven every fall will never cease to bring you back to the time you went apple-picking with your class at school– the same field trip where you climbed a tree on a dare and sprained your ankle when you fell out! The ghosts of the past float around our present, hoping to remind us of simpler times and happy endings : )

  37. 137
    Krystal says:

Both, I totally refuse to so ego centrical as to think there can’t possibly be something out there. Besides, way too many spookies have happened at my friend’s house to not know there are ghosts. I still won’t go over there since I had to house sit senior year and her piano PLAYED ITSELF! I literally took off running and screaming out the door, and came back later with someone else to lock it.

  38. 138
    Christine says:

Ghosts, just because I’ve experienced and heard from friends who experienced more ghostly things than alien. Once in college, I woke up from a nap to feel a presence in the room with me. When that being was aware of me, it rushed *through* me and out of the room through the wall behind me.

  39. 139
    robin says:

Can I pick both? I believe in reincarnation and spirits and I also think it is possible/likely that there are other life forms in the universe.

  40. 140
    tanzi says:

I can’t choose between the two. I believe equally that both could exist. There are so many things about our universe that remain undiscovered and that we don’t understand that it is presumptuous for us to claim that they don’t. We have no proof either way, so I choose to believe in the possibility of both.

  41. 141
    Meg T says:

This is the most rad question of all times. I believe in both. I swear I even had an alien (well spaceship)encounter. I know, I know. My mom and I and a couple of other girls were driving in rural Alabama and got lost. We took a right down some random road to turn around and saw a huge hovering thing. It was not of this world. Its strange, because we are all pretty foggy on what we saw but there you have it–a hovering space craft in rural bama.

  42. 142
    candice says:

i’m sure that there are aliens out there somewhere, we can’t possibly be the only life forms in this entire universe, which we are still only discovering to this day. as for ghosts, i’m not sure but i will always keep an open mind :)

  43. 143
    Andrea says:

I’m a sucker for aliens. When I’m doing something that may appear ridiculous, I always tend to think anthropologically, and of aliens watching us and observing the strange nature of our culture. Ridiculous? Maybe. But i just can’t believe that we’re the ONLY ones here. Maybe just the only ones that are witnessed picking up a lesser mammal’s poop in a bag. *sigh*

  44. 144
    Liz B. says:

Ghosts – it’s hard to believe that people are completely gone after death, especially since we’re such complex beings….

  45. 145
    Lindsy says:

Aliens for sure. This universe unfathomably large. There has to be something else out there…somewhere.

  46. 146
    Suzanne says:

Ghosts- not in the scary way portrayed at Halloween but more like the Ghost Whisper type.. Sometimes when loved ones pass away you may have a positive experience in which you are reminded of that person to the point where you think they are there. You have an experience in which you feel like someone protected you. Like someone is watching out for you.
