The first month of the year is soon coming to a close and here on The Bright Side Project we hope that the giveaways this month have helped kick off your year right. “Happy New You” was our effort to assist you in making 2010 a better year in all sorts of ways. Today I challenge you to make this the year you purge your pajama drawer of old t-shirts and your significant other’s sweats. While comfortable they don’t exactly suggest romance but scream shabby. And while we’re at it, let’s clear out the old granny panties and frazzled bras. Nothing makes you feel more feminine and fabulous than great new lingerie right? Even if you’re the only one who sees it!

Mother-daughter owners Gail and Alison Rubke are constantly on the road scouting out the latest lingerie straight out of the pages of your favorite fashion magazines. Their goal is to provide the finest and most exquisite lingerie from around the world. In their L.A. storefront, online shop and new Etsy store you can find top designers like Fifi Chachnil, Vannina Vesperini, Myla, Strumpet & Pink, and Nina Ricci. Of course favorites like Hanky Panky, Cosabella, Keep Me, Only Hearts and The Lake & Stars stock the shelves as well. With all these feminine frills in store any girl can find a little something to update her underthings this year!
I have a black lacey, wireless bra that is my current favorite. It gives a good look with out too much volume.
My favourite is a red lace that fits perfectly, gives my small gems a very nice shape and is so comfortable that I forget I am wearing one. Easy to take care of, durable and very sexy :-P
My favorite is my basic black satin bra..it goes great under tshirts, supports, and knowing I have on black satin makes me feel just a little bit sexy. :)
My favorite at the moment is a sports bra, so I think that says a lot, I need to start pulling out the black lace more often!

My favourite is a Mimi Holiday balconette too! It is soooo comfortable but unlike my safe, familiar Victoria’s Secret, the ‘ Pompom De Paris’ floral printed chiffon is soft, silky, sexy and sophisticated without being in-your-face! I’ve never had a bra that ticked so many boxes before…
My favorite bra came in the mail… in sweet wrapping. A gift from my husband. Beige so it goes under anything, with a hint of lace to spice it up a bit.
i Have yet to find my favorite bra… despite many years of searching. Two kids and gravity have altered what I am looking for, but I cannot find the perfect bra… one that lifts, but doesn’t pinch or poke, one that isn’t too padded and bulky, but not too sheer either, comfortable, but cute as well. The search continues.
Without a doubt, my favorite bra is the biofit from Victoria’s Secret, in the nude color with black lace. I’m a college student so I can’t splurge too much on them but it’s perfect and makes me feel that much better when I get dressed in the mornings.
My favorite bra is a comfortable Very Sexy bra from Victoria’s Secret. But I love to buy it in as many different shades of colors and patterns, because it just makes me feel so good underneath my clothes. My current favorite is a teal blue-green peacock feather pattern, and I try to match my undies to the blue or green. It gives me a little added confidence.
I don’t have a favorite now, but if I had the Mimi holiday bra……. then that would be another story!!

I just had to throw away my favorite bra — darn underwire broke! It was a cotton, smooth cup, red with white snowflakes and trimmed in black. I loved it because it was fun and oh so comfortable!

Sadly, I have never found a perfect bra. Something that is invisible under tight, thin long-sleeved tees, has a bit of lift and padding for my “under-endowment”, and comes in different colors and fun patterns, with pretty straps in case they peek out. I think the problem is my size…32 A and a half? 32 B minus? Luckily, my ill-fitting, pretty bras are fine with my husband!
My favorite is a black lace, racer back, with a front clip. It’s perfect with thin t-shirts, dress clothes (even thin silk shirts) and tanks! It’s the greatest bra ever and at $18 it was a STEAL!

i have to confess that right now, my favourite bras are maternity breast-feeding (nursing) bras…
i stopped breast-feeding about 3 & a half years ago…
i have since had a second child who i did not breast-feed…

My favorite is not that pretty–to be honest I didn’t even want to try it on. But, once I did I fell in love. It’s extremely comfortable and soft, stays put, and I love the shape it gives. Best of all its super smooth and I can wear it under ANYTHING. Now if only the manufacturer would realize they don’t need to plaster their bra with a logo.
my favorite bra is a bold colbalt color. all color aside, it is soft, has the perfect fit, and goes well under all my brown, gray, and navy clothing!
Sadly, I don’t have a favorite bra. I have lost 80lbs this year and my poor boobies have shrunk from a size 40DDD to a 34B (I know!) I’ve been hesitant to invest in a beautiful bra that makes me feel special because, well, the girls don’t feel that special right now. However, I have been browsing your lovely lacy offerings and your “Mimi Holiday” bra might be the one to make me feel pretty and sexy again. Even if I don’t win I think I need to take a deep breath and embrace my beautiful, vibrant new body with a new bra.
My favorite is a lime green Very Sexy bra from Victoria’s Secret. It fits perfect and it BRIGHT green. It’s so fun! Plus there’s a surprise leopard print covering the underwires. So cute.

My “live in” bra is a lightly padded baby pink demi cup from GAP body. It’s the fave because it makes them look nice and round under any type of clothing. And baby pink is so much prettier than the typical beige, and still can be worn under white.
My “can’t live without” is completely impractical, and I only wear it when I’m not planning to have my clothes on very long. Beautiful black lace VERY demi cup, and black patent leather staps, with a tiny little gold buckle in the middle. It was quite the hit with the boyfriend.
I’ve tried a lot of cheap bras, even some from the Gap but they all were either really uncomfortable or show under clothes. My go-to bras are Victoria’s Secret padded angel bras – they don’t show even under my thinnest t’s. My fave is gray with white polka dots & pink lining. I’d love to have some more fun lingerie – I can’t fit into any of my sexy stuff from my honeymoon anymore.
Talking about bras makes me sad. Yes, I do have a favorite bra, but it’s taken til my 17th year to even be able to qualify for having a favorite piece of lingerie. I wore a 32AA or 30AA all throughout junior high and even into high school, while watching my friends blossom at a normal pace. Shopping for bras when most brands don’t even make one small enough for you is pretty depressing, but I’ve FINALLY made it to a 32A, which enough brands carry that I can find pretty ones. My favorite, though, is a white, snakeskin print from Luleh, and I love it because it makes me look bigger than I really am, but it’s not all gape-y! Most of my bras that give me a little extra don’t actually fit, so I feel like I’m cheating. I’m sure I could find a new favorite at Faire Frou Frou though!

I personally love my sports bra the most. It holds my DDDs in tight while I work out and I couldn’t live without it! I could use some more sexy goodness though!
my current favorite is my Spanx bra — fits great and looks good under anything – have it in 3 colors !!! but a Mimi Holiday bra would be awesome too !!
i am pretty particular about my bras because so many of them look weird under cloths, but i’m really liking one of my Victoria’s Secret bras that is a pale pink with black bow in the middle, it’s comfortable and stylish with a lace overlay so i feel a sexy wearing it.
My favorite is my lacy lavender VS bra. It works well with my skin tone and looks great under t-shirts. I like wearing pretty underwear since being a grad student does not really require me to dress up for work so at least I have something pretty underneath!
“Favorite Bra”, that sounds like an oxymoron. Something that doesn’t pinch. Most bras you are the first thing to come off at the end of the day. I’d love to have a “Favorite Bra”
My favorite bra? Hmmm, I have a black one that fits pretty good. It’s hard to have a favorite bra, they are usually just so uncomfortable.
My favorite is a wireless black bra with white polka dots. The comfort and beauty of each of my bras is very important to me, as I am a breast cancer survivor. It is important to remind myself of my femininity despite the fact that my breasts have both been handled in such a barbaric manner.
My favorite bra is azure blue. The front is smooth with slightly reinforced cups so it’s invisible under t-shirts. The sides have lacy panels in the same color, which my husband loves. The straps are thin and pretty, so I don’t mind if they peak out from tank tops.
My fave bra — I have two of them.
1) A demi from Lepel that’s lacey black and pink (not usually a Janine color) and 2) Anything in the most practical line of smooth, shiny, and three-hook bras from Frederick’s of Hollywood. Yes, Frederick’s has practical stuff. When you’re a 32DD/32F (small rib-cage), it’s thrilling to be able to try on stuff in an actual store, and Frederick’s is the only retail store that really stocks that size. (Larger Nordie’s will try, but usually fail.)
My favorite bra is black with silver thread through it. It’s sexy AND comfy, which doesn’t come along too often!
I actually couldn’t pick just one! All of my bras, however, are the same style & brand…very comfortable, just enough push-up, & they look great on! My favorite, though, would depend on my mood for the day: pink for flirty {yes, I can still flirt with my husband!}, red for sassy & confident, nude for laid-back & comfortable in my own skin, cheetah for a wild mood, & black for classic sexy. Of course, a girl needs options, right?! But no matter what, a pretty feminine look & comfort make for the best bras!
My favorite is off-white, lightly padded, with a racer back and front closure. It makes me sad that it’s wearing out! I love anything in a cheeky print, too…
well… i really do not have a favorite bra! i have what i lovingly refer to as “teeny boobies” and have had a rather IMPOSSIBLE time finding anything outside of slightly padded jersey styles that fit me properly. that being said, i would looooove something silky and gorgeous like the items shown here (and i’m sure my boyfriend wouldn’t mind it either)! i may be able to find items like this in, say, victoria’s secret, but a horribly embarrassing moment with a pushy saleslady and her measuring tape several years ago has kept me from ever setting foot in there again. le sigh.

Its a very sheer baby blue with ruffles and a baby pink bow in the middle. I just love how soft and flirt it is, and completely impractical. I can never wear it out because it bunches up under my t-shirts. So its really my stay-at-home-and-feel-sexy-working-in-my-bra kinda bra!

I once had a favorite bra. It went perfectly under everything- t-shirts, dresses- with just enough enhancement. Sadly, an ex-boyfriend’s dog ate it! Ripped it to absolute, unrecognizable shreds! I am on the hunt for an even better replacement.
I hope I’m not too late! Actually, I know I am, but my favorite bra is the first fancy piece of clothing I ever bought for myself on my first trip out of the country. My mom and I went to England when I was 14, and my figure had recently blossomed. So I got myself a simple but beautifully made white bra at Harrod’s department store. It still fits, and it represents doing for oneself.
Sadly I do not have a favorite bra because I have yet to have found it. I have an extremely small back and wide breasts. My shoulders are tiny and so straps either dig or fall off. I think it would be amazing, to actually finally say I have a favorite bra and mean it.
Right now I’m forced to have a favorite bra. I’m pregnant and I only have one bra that still fits… A dark blue VS bra with blue and white polka dots. It’s ok, nothing special. I need a bra shopping trip!
I have a favorite bra that really needs to be retired but i just haven’t found one that I love as much. I’m pretty busty and this bra seems to make me look less so. I have more self confident when I am wearing this. I would love to find a replacement. Maybe now is my chance!
