There’s so many ‘Where were you questions’ that can be asked to start a conversation. Ie. ‘Where were you when Kennedy was shot?’, ‘Where were you when the Beatles broke up?’, ‘Where were you when MTV launched?’ For most of us we don’t have an answer, we weren’t even a twinkle in our parents eye, BUT you may be able to remember where you were when a certain powder blue nail polish came on the market which sported a sweet plastic ring around its neck, am I right? The line wooed us with hue and slayed us with the most clever names possible. The cosmetic company was called Hard Candy and everyone wanted a piece. Hard Candy single handily changed the cosmetic industry as we knew it. No more were we relegated to wearing a palette of reds, pinks and beige’s on our nails and lips nor would we have to suffer through mundane names or descriptions, nope, we will forever be spoiled thanks to Hard Candy. Isn’t that sweet?
The company was sold and bought a couple times (being the hot commodity that it is) and is now in the capable hands of NuWorld Cosmetics which decided that Hard Candy shouldn’t just be limited to those that can dole out $20 for a bottle of polish, they wanted to bring Hard Candy to the masses which means that even us fashionista’s that are on a budget tighter than Jessica Simpson’s mom jeans can partake in the party!
Hard Candy loves hue as much as we do and to celebrate this mutual attraction they are giving away to one winner a virtual laundry list of products! So here we go:

I would choose a bright pink lip gloss and name it Pizzazz! :)
purple nail polish named “Purple Rain”
Actually I have TWO namesXD both for nail polishes! The first one is aqua nail polish, named ‘Oh Capitain!’, the second one is orange nail polish named ‘Renaissance’. And I will wear both of them at the same timeXD
If I had to choose one product and name it I would do a lipstick named “Pucker Up Baby!”
OR
A dark nail polish called “Don’t Push It” but it has to be a color that lets people know you mean it!
A revenge red lipstick called The Kiss-Off. Perfect for that semi-planned run-in with the ex.
sunglasses at night and it would be a product that would be bright red!
I would suggest a very light finishing powder and call it “Dollface”.
I would name a deep plum purple “Victorian”
An electric blue nail polish called “midnight escapade”
I’d pick a nail polish and name it something edgy like “rip his heart out red”!
Intensifeye – High Drama Cream Eye Color in a deep maroon-ish purple bordering on black called Belladonna. It’s named After the Atropa belladonna plant aka. Deadly Nightshade, so that the woman who wears it has deadly dramatic eyes. Plus “Bella Donna” means beautiful woman in Italian.
i’d do a deep red nail polish and call it “come hither” – very sexy indeed!
“Eye Why” mascara… because the eyes tell you what you need to know, and (as Robin Williams would say) mascara is like cocaine for the eyes: it intensifies everything.
An eye shadow primer called “stuck on you.”

I’d name a deep blue with silver hue nailpolis- nightskies
A pink gold fleck lipgloss called Golden Ticket
Since I have thin lips, how about a lipstick called Thin No More.
A soft pink nail polish named “Schoolgirl Cheeks”. :P
Nail polish..a shade that is perfect for the beach that I would name sandy toes.

I would name the baked blush and call it ‘In your Face’!
I would name a light barely-there pink polish “sweet nothings”
I would choose Take me Out liner in a warm purpley pink color I would call it Heliotrope Hustle.
The yellow nail polish > Bee power
I’d name an argon-green, slightly alienesque nailpolish “Astronaut Attack”.
I totally love the idea of name a nail polish or Glitz Stick =)….I think I would name one Hawaiian sunset and it would be pale peach/orange with mutli colored glitter inside. Ahh….
I would name the Plumping Serum “Smoochable”. It would be a beautiful color between pink and red and it would make your lips look super sexy and “smoochable”
I would come up with a pretty blue eye shadow and call it “baby blue eyes” or one that is smokey called “smoke gets in you eyes” Love those old time crooners.
I’ve always wanted to own a deep red lipstick called “Tough Love”. I have no idea why or how I ended up with this fixation, but it sounds just right.
Fun! I’d love a springy green nail polish (perfect for flip-flop wearing toes) called “splendor in the grass” or a pearly eye shadow called, “eyes on the half-shell.”
I would choose a pretty light pink Painted Lady lip color, and name it “Rock Candy”. It’s a little edgy, nostalgic, and super cute all at once!
I’d name a plumy blood red polish, Packs a Punch
I would choose the nail polish and do a blood red called “licorice lacquer”! Or A glitz stick in a golden tone called “champagne bubbles”
Ginormous mascara in “Blaze”
Eye Candy in “Magnetic”
Just Nails in “Lunge”
Intensifeye in “Tease”
Fortune Gloss in “Lush”
Blush Crush in “Beau”

by the way… i have eye candy in “wink” and it is by far my favorite shadow! i heart hard candy.

I would pick a metallic, sparkly nail polish and call it Baubles and Bling
It would have to be a bright and fierce lip color named Hot Mommy. I don’t feel as sexy as I once did, now that I’m a mom of two babies, get very little sleep and have a nice stretch marked belly pooch. My full lips are one of my best assets and are something that was unaffected by two pregancies, so wearing lipstick makes me feel a little bit hot! XX
I would name the dreamiest shade of pink nail polish “yum”
Love love love the turquoise nail polish (Frenzy). I’d rename ‘Above Us Only Sky’, a lyric from the song ‘Imagine’ by John Lennon. The meaning of that lyric is pretty deep but you can also interpret the color as a reflection of a beautiful, cloudless day!
If Hard Candy asked me to name a product, I would choose to name a Just Nails color -” Meet his Mother” in a very bright and sultry red or a Plexi Gloss- “Mango Colada” in a mango orange inspired tone.
Hm maybe I misinterpreted the contest question…well either way, I would name a sky blue/turquoise-ish nail polish ‘Above Us Only Sky’. Sorry about that!
I would create a Just Nails polish called “Yves”. It would be named after Yves Klein for his signature deep, rich, perfect cobalt blue.
