HARDCANDY BY NUWORLD COSMETICS
{please visit hard candy here}
There’s so many ‘Where were you questions’ that can be asked to start a conversation. Ie. ‘Where were you when Kennedy was shot?’, ‘Where were you when the Beatles broke up?’, ‘Where were you when MTV launched?’ For most of us we don’t have an answer, we weren’t even a twinkle in our parents eye, BUT you may be able to remember where you were when a certain powder blue nail polish came on the market which sported a sweet plastic ring around its neck, am I right? The line wooed us with hue and slayed us with the most clever names possible. The cosmetic company was called Hard Candy and everyone wanted a piece. Hard Candy single handily changed the cosmetic industry as we knew it. No more were we relegated to wearing a palette of reds, pinks and beige’s on our nails and lips nor would we have to suffer through mundane names or descriptions, nope, we will forever be spoiled thanks to Hard Candy. Isn’t that sweet?
The company was sold and bought a couple times (being the hot commodity that it is) and is now in the capable hands of NuWorld Cosmetics which decided that Hard Candy shouldn’t just be limited to those that can dole out $20 for a bottle of polish, they wanted to bring Hard Candy to the masses which means that even us fashionista’s that are on a budget tighter than Jessica Simpson’s mom jeans can partake in the party!
Hard Candy loves hue as much as we do and to celebrate this mutual attraction they are giving away to one winner a virtual laundry list of products! So here we go:
-(1) Just Nails in Pretty in Pink
-(1) Glitz stick in Snake eyes
-(1) Take me out liner in Sushi
-(1)Blush Crush in Living Doll

I would rename the body powder to “beauty glam” or “adore me” . We all want to look beautiful and look adorable right? :)
I would name the eye glitter gel “DON´T stop staring at me!” because I think that product is really hipnotic and that´s what a glam girl wants, to be stared at!
Thanks!
A white shimmer eyeliner called “first snow”. great for waking up tired eyes!
Since it’s almost Valentine’s Day, I’d do a nail polish in a classic red, but with a hint of fuchsia – pink shimmer or glitter! I think I’d call it, “Forever Yours, Valentine”.
A kit composed by one white, one blue, one violet, one pink and one green liquid eyeliner, called Rainbow Eyes!
I love all of their products names, the dual eye dust being called ’split personality’ I would want to add a name to the sparkling eye shadow and pencil kit, something to make you feel pretty or edgy like ‘Light up the Night’ or ‘Attention on Me’ or ‘Glitter Going Glam’
The lip gloss and it would have to be named “Cherry Mash” after the candy bar. Oh yum!!!!
I would name dark, dark red (almost burgundy) lip stick ‘Tough Bitch’
I miss that powder blue nail polish from back in the day. I would re-launch that shade, and call it Prom Tuxedo.
I’d love to name the sweet lip gloss pot Spot On. I’ve let everyone I know borrow it and it’s been the perfect shade for everyone!
I am addicted to lip gloss…so it would definitely be a sparkly gloss. I would name it The Perfect Pout.
I would choose eyeshadow and I would want to name a shimmery gold after the sensational movie craze “The New Moon”
I love nail polish. Maybe in a beautiful shade of green, you don’t see too many of those around! Green with Envy? Luck of the Irish? Green Machine?
A bright red lipstick called “Shut up and kiss me”
i’d choose to name a lip gloss, probably the sheer shine kind. and i’d name it Possibility (i envision it being a girly, but not too candy-like, pink). it would be nothing short of inspiring to put Possibility on before leaving the house…
I would name a black sparkley Glitz Stick, Big Night Out. When I go out I love a really smokey eyeliner, the name would remind me how much fun I was about to have!
I would rename the “Button your Lip” Liquid Lipsticks to mirror classic beauties and their roles.
For example, I’d rename “Mirror Mirror” to Miss Scarlett and
“Pixie” to Holly Golightly.
It’d be Eye Candy shadow, in a shade of green that looks nice on me…not like an old bruise…and I’d call it Wild Olive, because I use that name for everything I create…
I’ve been wanting to add some oomph to my makeup for awhile now. Well I think I’ve found my answer! I would name one of the cream eye shadows Raw.
a lip gloss: “pucker up, buttercup!”
Oh my, oh my. I would have to name a nailpolish because I love polished nails. I would name it First Kiss Blush.
perhaps a blush… Blush Crush in Blushing Bride!
A red lipstick called “Thicker than water”. A green nail polish called “money”.
a orange/brown nail polish called “spray tan”
I would name a rich purple eyeshadow (with a hint of sparkle) AMBIANCE. I’m sure it’d bring the ambiance to any romantic date!
I would rename the eyeliner “try and DEFINE me!” and it would be fun to name one of the eyeshadows with subtle color and a hint of glitter “Day Dreaming”/
Hard Candy is my favorite makeup line!! I would Say, a pink lip gloss and name it cupcake, because I love cupcakes!!!
I’d name the nail polishes “liquid taffy”
I would name some sparkley light pink body dust: sugar high.
I’d love to be able to name a line of nail polishes or lip colors for famous feminists and feminist organizations: Code Pink for a light pink polish or Women in Black for a dark red with black and gold flecks.
What a fun question!
A sheer, shimmery lip gloss named “Sugar Daddy”…oh yeah :}
How perfect that you asked! I absolutely love the catchy, fun names of makeup and especially nail polish. Some great nail polish names, especially for the bright, fantastic colors of Hard Candy, would be “I’m with the band” (think dark, glittery polish), “Fabulous Las Vegas” (gold, shiny polish), and “Butterfly Kisses” (soft pink, light and girly).
“Lick It Up” or maybe “Sit and Spin” :)
I would name a pink lip glass “Mean Girls”
I would name a dark maroon colored nail polish “leather bound book.”
A lipgloss called “hunk magnet.” :)
A terrific ruby pink lipstick stain with the name “shy but dangerous”
I’ve always loved thinking about what I would do if I had my own fashion and makeup lines, and I decided I would name them after Shakespeare characters, as literature is my other passion.
There would definitely be a daring, bold red lipstick named for Kate the “Shrew,” and a selection of flower-hued eye shadows for Ophelia. Juliet would have a hot pink nail polish perfect for a young girl in love, and Viola/Cesario would be a concealer duo! ; )
I’m dying for a red lipstick named “Little Edie.” I love Little Edie Bouvier – yes she was strange, but she was brave and creative, and her spirit couldn’t be broken even by some really harsh circumstances. I’d put on Little Edie to feel brave, or when I needed that creative jolt to come out of nowhere.
Bright pink nail polish called “sweet & sassy.”
i would call the nail polish ‘pink princess party’
