OLI + ME
I first spied Oli + me on former contributor Suann Songs blog. Suann isn’t a big jewelry person so when she highlights a jewelry designer you know they must be special. I on the other hand am a jewelry person and my taste veers to either the extremely dainty or the extremely bold and nothing in between. Former financier turned designer Grace Lee’s Oli+me line has my dainty side completely smitten. Each piece feels more delicate then the next and its beauty comes not from showy baubles or flashy details but in its sublime simplicity. As a designer it’s hard for my clients to sometimes come to terms with the adage ‘less is more’ but when you come across a line like Oli+me the proof is in the pudding. Less really is more.
Lee’s Whisper and micro-beaded rings are just begging to be collected and stacked lithely on my fingers. Oli + me (named for her daughter Olivia) is made to be worn everyday and who wouldn’t if they owned a piece from the collection? I do believe Lee got it spot on when she penned her tagline: ‘simple, effortless and chic fine jewelry.’
Grace Lee of Oli +me is giving away one set of her Whisper rings (5 rings, $150USD retail value). The Whisper ring is a light, airy delicate ring, wear it alone or stacked. I have to say rings. I own a lot of necklaces but I never seem to wear them. I think rings add a lot of personality without being too showy.
Nothing beats a good pair of sunglasses. They are the easiest way to look chic and to maintian an air of mystery. You can spend as much or as little on them as you would like to and nobody will know. And, they serve an important function when you’re driving or laying on the beach.
My favorite accessory is my husband!
And no comments are necessary, I think … ^ _ ^
my favorite accessory is my old ceramic necklace charms i got from my grandma. she loved jewlery as much as i do and she let me pick out a few of my favorites of hers to have.
My wedding band.
It is simple and comfortable, so I never have to take it off, even at work, where I get my hands dirty. Looking at it makes me happy and reminds me of how lucky I am to have such an amazing husband.
My giant handmade purse. Not only is it big so I can carry anything I ever need in it. But I get compliments on it all the time, and because I made it, it makes me feel good that people actually like it!
My necklace. I have a Pickup Sticks charm and a lobster trap on it. Unique and represents my travels.
My favorite piece of jewelry is a big cocktail ring featuring a huge green stone that my grandmother gave to me. My grandfather gave it to her on St. Patrick’s Day and she gave it to me to enjoy a few years ago. I always get comments on the ring and I love to say that it was from my Grandma.
Lipstick. It just makes everything better.
Earrings. They come in all shapes, sizes, colors, etc. and fit everyone (pierced/non-pierced). People can changed them based on what they wear or how they feel. It can be a subtle or bold statement of who they are.
My favorite accessory is a fabric flower. i cant pin it to my coat dress shirt anything for a little extra something. I also love to wear them in my hair :)
OH! I love these teeny tiny beautiful and perfect rings! My favorite accessory, other than my wedding ring of course, would be my peacock feather headband. I feel so sassy and pretty in it.
my favourite accessory is nail polish. I know it is a bit out there but once you think about it….it all makes sense. Nail polish adds that extra little touch. Whether it be a clear polish to add a little shine or dark purple to add a little bit of edge.
these darling rings would go nicely with any nail polish..now wouldn’t agree?
It would be hard for me to pick a favorite, but if I just went by what I wear the most, it would have to be a tie between my very well-worn jean jacket and a pair of silver hoop earrings that my mom gave me. One of my students commented that I wear them at least 3 days out of every 5. They’re just so classic – go with everything – and so comfortable.
Thanks much for the cool giveaway! =]
It seems every time I get complimented on a ring, a belt, a purse, or any accessory, it’s one my mother has given me. She is way more hip than me! I’m lucky to have her influence in my life (and my closet)!
My smile? :)
my sterling silver PEACE sign necklace…i wear it every day
I have a necklace with a tiny inscription of a quote that is special to me. It is so small, no one can tell what it says from a distance. It is all mine that way.
Headbands. They are sophisticated, feminine, and sweet, all in one. And they can salvage a bad hair day.
i love my cross necklace my mother gave it to me for my birthday. it was my fist real piece of jewelry, and i wear it every where
the very simple gold bracelet because it is dainty and my mom gave it to me.
My favorite accessory is the necklace I had made with my son’s thumbprint when he was 3 months old.
Oops! I forgot the why…because it’s so tiny and sweet and reminds me of my little love!
My favorite accessory are my small pearl stud earrings: classic, timeless, they go with anything, and I’m instantly dressed up even in jeans and a t-shirt when I put them on. The beautiful Whisper rings are the finger equivalent, I’d say, to my pearl earrings. Lovely!

My favorite accessory is the ring my boyfriend gave me when we first started dating almost 13 years ago. It has tiny stars all the way around and an inscription on the inside that reads “Many are the stars I see/ Yet in my eye no star like thee.” I know it’s totally cheesy and romantic, but it’s really sweet too. It still makes me smile everyday.
I think earrings. Sometimes I don’t wear any for weeks, but most of the time I feel naked without them.
definitely earrings for me too!!
My watches are my favorite accessory. I like to be able to tell the time regardless of where I am. Sometimes it’s not easy to look at my cellphone, but it’s much easier and more discrete to glance down at my wrist. It also helps me be punctual and not be late, a small pet peeve of mine.
Ok, I know it sounds generic, but my favorite accessory really IS my wedding ring! My husband had our initials engraved on the inside (R.N.B. to A.A.I.). Normally initials might not seem very special, but his mom and grandmother have the same thing engraved on their rings…well, obviously with their own initials. :) I love traditions like that, and I LOVE that my hubby was not only aware of that tradition, but moved it forward.
My favorite accessory is a necklace I purchased in NY on the last family vacation I took with my family before I got married. Every time I wear it I remember the good times we had and the closing of one chapter of my life and the beginning of a new one.
My favorite accessory is a big confident SMILE! You’ll never look good unless you’ve got one!
My favorite accessory is a fresh dewy glow after a good nights sleep. I always just feel beautiful! Even if im wearing sweat pants and cleaning the house!
Currently…scarves but I’m ready for no more. I love a beautiful necklace. Always adds to an outfit.
I love wide belts–white patent leather, black leather, brown leather, green suede, and others. They really transform an outfit.
My ring, since it also symbolizes the most important person to me, who also gave this to me as a gift.
A pale turquoise and silver ring. When I wear it, my hands remind me of my mother, who has the most elegant and fascinating hands in the world.
My favorite accessory is perfume! Perfume is a perfect way to finish off your look. It makes you feel good. I wear Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker and it smells lovely.
I love my glasses! They help me see at night (very important), my husband says they make me look pretty and they make me feel smarter than I am. They are my super-specs!
Scarves!
I just love adding a scarf to my outfit. An otherwise boring and plain top comes to life with a bright scarf!
An opal and ruby ring that I bought for myself as a graduation treat/gift. This ring is a small cluster of happiness: one large opal surrounded by small rubies. I saved a little money and watched this ring for months. It finally went on sale for half off! Miracles still happen!
Oh my gosh! I know I missed the deadline on this, and I can’t believe I did! I just wanted to let you know that I’ve been looking for stackable rings like these for the LONGEST time, and I am so happy to have found your store through the Bright Side Project! These are gorgeous. Thank you for joining BSP!
A beautiful handmade aquamarine ring that my boyfriend just gave me for our anniversary. It’s understated and simple. Loves.
My wedding ring, not just because my husband gave it to me but because it’s an original art deco piece from 1925. It’s amazing, no other way to describe it.
My favorite accessory is a four-leaf clover necklace, which reminds me of how lucky I am.
My favorite is my wedding rings, but i love all rings necklaces….. i am a girly girl!
