KLEAN KITTY
{please visit Klean Kitty here}
As a child I once received as a gift a soft, cloth doll. It was similar in style to a Waldorf doll, and attached to it was a tube of girly lipstick that looked fuchsia but went on clear. The tube of lipstick had red hearts all along the container and looked so perfect when twisted up and out that I refused to use it and mar it’s pretty, feminine shape. Twenty-five years later and I can still tell you where that lip gloss sits in my old room at my parent’s house. I never did use it.
I have a feeling that if I ever got my hands on the cupcake soaps by Klean Kitty I would suffer the same problem. Actually, I can say without a doubt that no way, no how, would I allow anyone to put their grubby paws on cupcake soaps that (GAH!) smell like actual cupcakes. Of course, they are perfectly fine to use, and I am sure Kimberley Caughell, the professionally trained makeup artist behind Klean Kitty, would actually prefer you do so. To ensure you have motivation to use the soaps, Caughell’s soft soaps form a delicious lather and come in flavor scents like Rich Double Chocolate, Creamy Black Forest Cake, or Pink Vanilla. Mercy, mercy, mercy me. Something tells me my diet is going to go down the drain midway through this month.
Klean Kitty is giving away 2 Creamy Black Forest Cake cupcake soaps to one lucky winner. In order to win, please answer the following question by Tuesday, August 11, 2009.
What is your favorite song to sing in the shower?
Please start checking the winner’s box on Wednesday, August 12, 2009. Good Luck!

Celine…doesn’t matter what song. I rock it.
“Summertime…and the livin’ is eeeeeeasy!” Never fails to make my children run from the room in embarassment which means I get to shower in peace!
If the shower is in the morning – Aretha Franklin’s “I’ll say a little prayer”.and think about all of the people I am blessed to have in my life. Shower at night ~ Mama’s and the Papa’s “Dream a Little Dream of Me”, again, to think of the loved ones in my life. Showering for something fun and feeling sassy ~ Refrain from Outkast, “So Fresh, So Clean” LOL
This is where I jokingly say my favorite song is “It’s raining men” or “Singing in the rain” but neither would be true. Lately if I’m singing in the shower it’s to something that is upbeat and will get me going for the day and one of my favorite songs to rev up is SuoerJuniors “Sorry,Sorry”. Can’t help but rock out to anything with a good beat!
Mostly anything by Andy Samberg, but in particular, “Are you there Jah, it’s me Ras Trent.”
Oh anything from a musical or animated film. Just depends on my mood.
“I Will Survive”, or anything sung by Nina Simone.
This morning I was singing Wham … “Wake me up before you go go…” Not idea why but it was quite catchy.
Sugar, Sugar by the Archies
Great acoustics for this song in the shower.
“Ain’t no Sunshine” by Bill Whiters
I love singing I know, I know, I know as many times as my heart desires!
These soaps are so awesome! My favorite song to sing in the shower is “Fast Enough for You” by Phish. Started in high school when on the swim team I needed something to hum to myself when swimming the 500 meter free… It is a long race and needed something to keep me in rhythym. That song did it and I sing it in the water and in the shower (mostly to myself so as to not disturb a sleeping household)
unfortunately, i’m a classical singer. so, even though i listen to indie rock and pop, i invariably end up singing classical pieces in the shower! it’s very weird, but i like to think it adds a bit of class to my mornings ;)
You’re just too good to be true…can’t take my eyes off of you. you’d be like heaven to touch. i wanna hold you so much. At long last love has arrived. and i thank god i’m alive. you’re just too good to be true. Can’t take my eyes off of you.
I LOVE YOU BABY! AND IF IT’S QUITE ALRIGHT I NEED YOU BABY. TO WARM THE LONELY NIGHTS I LOVE YOU BABY TRUST IN ME WHEN I SAYYYYY OH PRETTY BABYYYYYYYYYYYY….you get the idea.
Right now I am totally into the wonderful crooning of Neko Case, but the last few days I’ve also had a song by The Decemberists inhabiting my head. And then there’s always the old standby that My husband and I dance to at every wedding we attend, Dean Martin’s “Everybody Loves Somebody”.
I always revert back to the 4 Non Blondes “What’s Up” …” And so I wake in the morning. And I step outside. And I take a deep breath and I get real high. And I scream at the top of my lungs. What’s going on?” It is such a fun dramatic way to start the day.
Good Morning, from Singin’ in the Rain. Fun, upbeat, and a great song to wake up to.
And IIIIIIIIIIIIIII Will Always LOOOOVE YOUUUUU! Whitney Houston
I can rock that song in the shower like no other.
Anything from a Disney musical, really, but the only song I know all the words to by heart is “Part of Your World.” Flippin’ your fins you don’t get too far…legs are required for jumping, dancin’! Haha.
I have a whole Disney playlist on my iPod and I sometimes have to stop myself from singing along out loud when I’m out running. :)
Oh…wow… I am known for this one….. because few can sing it louder I have even had apartment neighbors chuckle about it….
“ON TOP OF SPAGHEEEEETTTTTIIIIIIIIIIIII………… ALLL COVERREDDD IN CHEEEEEEEESSSSSEE…..” …. and so on…. ;)
safety dance
it takes a lot of energy, but belting out “bohemian rhapsody” by queen really does it for me! Especially the rock opera part-it’s so fun and brings back so many memories..my back scrubber makes a great guitar!
gotta have you by the weepies…
no amount of coffee, no amount of crying
no amount of whiskey, no wine
no no no no no, nothing else will do
i’ve gotta have you, i’ve gotta have you
