What exactly is The Bright Side Project?

The Bright Side Project is a website dedicated to spreading sunshine+cheer through themed giveaways and positive, inspiring content.  Our giveaways showcase a brand or product we think will add a little sunshine in your life. We believe that life is inherently beautiful and we celebrate this belief with themed giveaways, amazing tutorials, spotlights on fantastic individuals and other inspiring content!

How many times a week do you post and give away prizes?

We do our best to spread sunshine as often as we can. We post three giveaways a week (minimum!) and winners are posted every Monday. We provide amazing in-house DIY projects  as well as some from our contributors and we shine a spotlight now and again on special individuals by bestowing them with the title “Ambassador of Sunshine.” We are always looking for new ways to inspire and celebrate positivity and will be introducing new content to aid in this process!

Where do you get all these great prizes?

The wonderful artists and designers you see on this site generously contribute all the prizes for this website.

What do I need to do in order to win?

At the end of each post is a fun question.  In order to win, you need to answer the question by the deadline stated.  The contributor will then read all the answers and choose the one they love best.

When do you announce the winners?

Winners are announced on Mondays.  All prized must be claimed within one week so be sure to check back to see if you’ve won!

How often can you win?

You can win as often as you like.  We encourage everyone to play, even if you have won before.

I won!  How do I claim my prize?

You have one week (7 days) to claim your prize, so please check the Winners box every Monday!  If you see your name on the Winners Page, please send an email to krista@thebrightsideproject.com.  In the email subject line, please indicate the name of the brand featured.  In the body of the email please provide us with the following information.

  1. What you won, including prize particulars like color or size (if necessary.)
  2. Your name and mailing address.
  3. A phone number where you can be reached.  Some carriers and shipping methods require telephone numbers, and your number would only be used for this purpose.

We will forward your information to the contributor and, before you know it, your prize will be on your doorstep!

How long do I have to claim my prize?

All prizes must be claimed within one week of the announcement.  Please check the Winners Page!

What happens if a prize is not claimed.

If a winner does not claim their prize before the week is up, their prize is forfeited and a new winner is chosen.

When will I receive my prize?

On average, most winners receive their prize within 1-3 weeks, depending on location, size, and level of customization. However it can take 6-8 weeks for some prizes to be shipped out especially if the item is customized or coming from overseas.

It’s been 8 weeks, but I haven’t received my prize.  What gives?

We do not mail the prizes.  They come directly from the contributor, so if you have not yet received your prize please let us know and we will contact them for you.

I would love to contribute to The Bright Side Project.  What can I do?

Well, that depends on whether you are a reader or potential contributor.

If you are a reader, we would love for you to spread the word about The Bright Side Project!  The more people who participate, the better the prizes get and the more eager the contributors are to participate.  Remember, contributors are giving away something they could instead sell for a profit.  We don’t pay them in dollars, but we can pay them with a great, positive press experience and much deserved attention for their brand or  business.
