If I may be so bold, might I suggest a surefire way to create some sunshine in your life? Sit down with pen and paper and write a note to someone you care about, telling them why you like them so much. Then put that note in an envelope and affix a real live stamp to it and stick it in the post. The feeling of sending a note full of love and joy to someone is incomparable. Who knows, you might even get something in return! While I’ll admit any old paper will do (it’s the thought, right?), nothing can compare to the exquisite touch of beautifully crafted letterpress when it comes to handwritten correspondence. Trust.
Aloha Letterpress combines two loves of mine in one perfect marriage: my love for Hawaii (I used to live there) and my love for beautiful stationary. To be perfectly honest, in all of my years living in paradise, I didn’t find anything as beautiful as the creations from Linda Akiyama Coleon. Coleon creates each and every piece from hand, start to finish. It is the fine attention to detail that sets this letterpress apart from the rest. The Bamboo Cards and Sunny Hibiscus Cards remind me of warm ocean breezes and salt drying on my arms in the sunshine. Perhaps if I write love notes on these cards, some of that sunshine will linger. It’s worth a shot.

Hmm. Tough question. I’m going to say my lifelong eagerness to learn!
My INFJ qualities. It’s a rare and truly amazing Myers Brigg personality type
the fact that i kicked cancer’s ass!
My ability to just make the best out of any situation. I’m annoyingly optimistic.
I’d say my energy towards travel spots on.
Rather say my patience
My smile – the more I use it the better I feel.
my resourcefulness – it never lets me down.
I am the most patient person I know. This is a great asset to have when you are blessed with a stubborn husband and a wild boy toddler.
I’ve got to say my silliness. I love to laugh!
hmm.. i’m nice to and can get along with pretty much everyone :] i don’t really get angry that easily either (or maybe if i do, i don’t show it….. haha)
My eternal optimism? I firmly believe that everything works out in the end and that the universe always gives you what you need in the end.
This sounds conceited, but I love my eyes. They are hazel-blue and I wear glasses, so I try to find frames that compliment them.
My tenacity.
I’m not afraid to do medical missions
I like my giggle.
I am remarkably, incredibly childlike.
My ability to accentuate the positive
My favorite thing about myself is how I push my own limits when I don’t even realize it. Over the past year, I’ve been working out at the gym and have lost almost 40 lbs and every day I’m lifting more weight, running faster, and pushing past “I can’t” to “I did it!”
I more often than not put others’ before myself… which in turn makes me happy.
I love my sense of humor. One of my favorite things is to make other people laugh, my family says “shes a delight”.
I love my ability to discern when a friend is upset and needs support!
I make an effort to be a good friend, sister and wife. As a result, I have amazing friends, sisters and husband.
I am easy to get along with.
Oh that is a hard question! 1 that requires some thought, hehe! I would say my favorite thing about myself is my laughter…I love to have a good laugh & try to find humor everywhere.
Favorite thing about myself – that would have to be my blue eyes!! Got them from my mother who also shared them with my two younger sisters and I gave them to my only daughter : )
I don’t gossip. I hate gossips. I don’t talk about people, what they do, etc, etc
I love that I never stop questioning things; “when? where? what?how?” and of course “why?”
I’m very interested in life and in people and that passion is an integral part of what makes me, me!
My only redeeming quality is my enthusiasm. I am an incurable optimist and convince me of a project that needs doing (cleaning up the city, guerilla gardening, organising an event) and I’ll give everything I’ve got to it. I hope my son inherits this too – it makes life so much nicer to be able to see the sunshine even on cloudy days!
My belief that there is goodness in everyone and we all deserve love.
As a hospice nurse taking care of those that have 6 months or less to live..I would say……my compassion.
I am pretty scrappy. When times get tough, I shine!
I pride myself on being a member of the clean plate club. That, and my creativity.
I would say my strengh of character. I used to think I was weak, but when I look at how much I’ve been through this year (16-years relationship breakup) and come up stronger on the other side, I’m pretty amazed and proud of myself!
My positive outlook on life no matter what the situation.
I like my big brown eyes. I know how to look at people and make them say, “woah, you have huge eyes.”
My willingness to change, when needed. It isn’t easy, but it pretty much always makes life better in the end.
My best quality is my perseverance.
I am a super cheerleader for everyone in my life. I’m terrible at pushing myself, but I believe in the abilities of everyone I love and always let them know it. From struggling through a boring task, to being unsure of a new craft endeavor, to starting a brand-new music lesson business, I think my friends and family can do it ALL and am happy to cheer them on!
In a related topic, my hands-down favorite thing to do is cheer for marathoners. My husband has run in several and supporting him is so important to me. I try to get to several spots and while I’m waiting for him to come through, I am screaming my face off the entire time for all of the runners out there giving their all. I call them out by number and tell them that they are looking good and CAN do it! For Christmas this year, his running partner got me a giant cowbell so I can make even more noise!
I love my spontaneous creative moods. Every once in awhile, it could be early in the morning or usually late at night, I just get this surge of creative energy. I feel like writing, drawing, painting or sometimes creatively rearranging things around the house. I love it when i get those moods, they’re refreshing and uplifting.
That I am my mother’s daughter.
And how loving I am–which also comes from her.
My favorite thing about myself is my ability to find inspiration in the small, everyday things. It makes it easy to create a good time and a beautiful day, any day!
(I’m still loving that sassy cat card!!! lol)
My patience
my snark. really. i love it.
The fact that my embarrassment about speaking my mind only ever appears /after/ I’ve said what’s truly important to me — I always get my thoughts on the table before the blush creeps in!
I would say having such a positive attitude about everything.
My favorite thing about myself is also the thing that annoys me, and others. My story telling. I start with talking about a shoe and end up talking about aliens. I go off on so many rabbit trails!
