Giveaway :: Amanda Thon Metalsmith

{please visit Amanda Thon Metalsmith here}

Have you ever noticed that almost every single fashion magazine will invariably run a feature on how to travel light without sacrificing style? You take a handful of basic wardrobe pieces, sprinkle in a couple pairs of shoes, two handbags and a few key accessories and voila! Your travel style is chic, easy, and you can fit it all in a carry on! I don’t know about you, but I struggle. It seems traveling light still entails far more accouterments than a two page spread in a glossy mag would lead you to believe. Except for one part: accessories. I am a firm believer that simple and elegant jewelry when traveling is a must.

Enter Amanda Thon and her shop Amanda Thon Metalsmith. Her gorgeously sophisticated line of jewelry translates from a casual dinner in your own backyard to a stroll through the streets of Crete with a gorgeous stranger on your arm. (Carry on.) This is the type of jewelry you reach for when you want to create a memory. It so simply fits into your life it seems as if it were there all along. My next vacation? I’m taking the Arrow Band Ring and the Coral Medium Post Earrings and I’ll put those style magazines to shame. Trust.

Amanda Thon Metalsmith is giving away one pair of Seafoam Micro Posts and one pair of Neon Coral Micro Poststo two lucky winners (one pair each!) To enter to win, please answer the following question by Thursday, August 9th. Also, please specifiy the color you prefer in your answer! Comments now closed…good luck!

    fresh air, beautiful skies, tall buildings and unexpected surprises. I love a quick trip to a big city. walking the streets and founding hidden gems in the form of boutiques, storefronts and sculptures. A delicious lunch eaten in a park. Taking pictures to remember it all, and ending with a romantic dinner for two. 🙂

    My idea of a getaway would have to be somewhere tropical, tis typical, I know. Somewhere near a blue ocean, and laying in a hammock between two palm trees. The sun warming your skin, and the cold breeze cooling you off. And being able to smell the fresh tropical air. The sound of birds chirping and waves crashing in the background. The ocean mist lightly hitting your skin. Yum! That is my idea of a peaceful relaxing getaway, and much more!

    the purpose of a weekend is to destress from the week. i too often use the weekend to catch up on things i didn’t have time to do in the week which sometimes stresses me out. I’m most happy on a weekend when I’m relaxed, surrounded by loved ones and have a fresh mani/pedi.

    I love going with my boyfriend and daughter down to the local beach for the weekend. Yes, it’s only about 20 minutes away but not having to spend an hour searching for parking or planning out our day is an amazing bonus. Plus, my bf’s family has a beach house 3 blocks from the sand so we get to take these weekend getaways for free and basically as often as we like.

  19. 19
    Beverly says:

    My perfect weekend getaway involves a lakehouse, if possible. A few of my friends’ families have lakehouses within a few hours drive, and they’re the perfect opportunity to relax, unwind, and watch how time slows down. There’s no internet and no cell phone service, but there’s billions of stars, lazy swims, and lots of porch lounging. There’s nothing better!

    My perfect vacation would be any that someone else planned and surprised me with. It’s only 10 minutes away from where we live now, and they make the most amazing breakfast every morning! The town that the B&B is in also has a small, but very good farmer’s market every Saturday morning. My husband is partial to their sweet corn. I swear he would spend the rest of his weekend away eating corn and watching soccer.  🙂

    My perfect weekend getaway would be to explore our beautiful state with my sweetie. There are so many cute little towns with adorable shops, cafes and natural sites to see in Washington! We’d pick out new places to explore and stay overnight in a cozy B&B. While I’m at it, let’s throw in a delicious meal at a small farm to table restaurant.

    I grew up in a small town and my perfect weekend getaway would have been a trip to the big city. I’m a “city girl” now, and now my perfect getaway would be to a small town. Preferably one by a body of water… Lake, river, ocean… Whichever!
