Hello, June! We’ve been waiting here for you, ever so patiently. Now that you’re here, let’s get this party started, shall we? First up on the agenda: entertaining. Isn’t there something about the start of June that begs for dinner parties, backyard bbqs, random afternoon potlucks? I start to plan all sorts of summer soirees once I notice that yes, indeed, Here Comes the Sun(shine.) This is also the time of year I start to celebrate color. From my home decor to my closet to my fingertips, I celebrate the sun with every shade in the rainbow.

Anna Joyce  knows color and how to use it. From gorgeously printed textiles to hand-appliqued apparel, each piece in the collection sings with joy and celebration. These are the kinds of items that make you feel special, as though every day is worth celebrating. This Liberty Tumbling Vine Hoodie is perfect for those cool summer nights in the backyard. And I want every single color available in these Hand Printed Cotton Pillows. The sun is shining and Anna Joyce knows how to capture it. Shine on.

Everyone must snack on a slice of crostini topped with strawberries, prosciutto, fresh basil and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes. Delicious, fresh, and oh so easy!

One of my favorite summer treats: Watermelon Mojitos! Chunks of ripe watermelon, fresh mint, freshly squeezed lime, sparkling water, and rum. Served in a pretty tumbler over ice, enjoyed on a sunny porch.

A couple years ago I found a recipe for a raspberry brie panini. To make it, butter the outside of two slices of French bread, add pieces of brie and raspberries, drizzle honey, assemble, and place on a panini maker. It’s more of a sandwich than a snack, but sometimes I eat two a day. Raspberries are in season, so why let any go to waste?

It’s got to be s’mores with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Extra toasty.
