We couldn’t very well talk about wanderlust without some sort of geographical representation, now could we? If you want to travel the world, it’s important to have a guide, a visual. After all, half the battle of getting to where you want to be is to know where you’re starting from. Sure, you could pin a generic world map up on the wall but we here at the BSP aren’t generic and we’re pretty sure you aren’t either. Why settle for lackluster when you can have beautiful art?
artPause is the storefront for artist Michael Tompsett. After years of working as a graphic designer for some noteworthy companies, Tompsett decided to dedicate his time to pursuing his own art. His push to live his dream is inspirational not only in theory but also in the tangible pieces. This is the type of art that makes you look at the world through new eyes. The Watercolor Map of the World breeds a feeling of wonder and travel and exotic spices and fantastic food. Good art does that, don’t you think? It invites us to take a journey. It invites “Wanderlust” in, gives her a hug and a cup of coffee, and then sends her back into the world; until the next destination.
