Happy Valentine’s Day, friends! I’ll be honest: the commercialization and commodification of love is generally something I would stay away from. However, I have never been one to stay away from a day that celebrates love. Let’s make a pact this year. Let’s steer ourselves away from the pre-packaged, overly marketed symbols of the holiday and let’s take this day to honor ourselves, to love each other, to put love above all else. Let’s be our own Valentine’s and lets date ourselves, shall we?

First up? Buy yourself some jewelry. (You know what you like best, anyway.) Kim Gordon has created a perfectly curated boutique full of unique accessories and an ever-growing catalog to choose from. Beck N Hale Boutique (named after her daughters, talk about LOVE) is a one stop shop for all of your accessory needs. You can view a few of my favorites up top but take a moment and browse the shop for yourself. (You’ll have to sign in but it only takes a second and it opens you up to a whole new world of shopping!) Go ahead and buy yourself something pretty for the holiday. Because, really, no one else will love you like you will.

Beck N Hale Boutique is giving away one $75 gift certificate to one lucky winner! To enter to win, please answer the following question no later than Thursday, February 21st.
Please visit Beck N Hale Boutique and answer this: What is the thing you love about yourself the most?
Start checking the winner’s box on Monday, February 25th, to see if you’ve won.

I love that I am completely dedicated to my family.  I can’t imagine the world without them.  They keep me grounded, offer advice, love me unconditionally, and make me laugh.  My two nephews are the sweetest boys in the world–in the short time I have known them and for the first time in my 28 years, I know what it is to truly love someone with every fiber of my being and to experience the true unbridled joy they bring to my life.  I’ve set down my roots so I can always be near them, even though it means I have to travel less–but I wouldn’t trade if for anything in the world.
