Giveaway :: Betsy Olmsted print & repeat design

{please visit Betsy Olmsted here}

Have we discussed my absolute love for kitchen towels? I’m sure we have but we simply cannot end our month long foray into “The Good Life” without addressing the issue. See, I have a bit of a kitchen towel conundrum. When I find ones that I love, I must have them. (No, this is not the problem.) My issue is not wanting to actually use my favorites. Once they get used in the kitchen, they get stained and frayed and discolored and, well, used. Yet I don’t want ugly (just for use) kitchen towels, either. Hence, the conundrum. I have decided that perhaps I just need to allow myself a kitchen towel allowance and keep a steady supply of favorites on hand. Problem solved.

Betsy Olmsted print & repeat design has become a new go-to for my kitchen towel craze. Not only are my top two needs met (function and form), these beauties are works of art all on their own. I had an immediate visceral reaction to the My Neighbor’s Yard Towel as well as the Living in Lace Hand Towel. And by visceral, I mean I wanted to wash my hands immediately so that I would have a reason to purchase them. They would then live in plain sight in my kitchen and I would probably not let anyone touch them. Sigh. This is my “Good Life”, people. It’s pretty and happy here and Betsy Omsted print & repeat design is a big part of that.

Betsy Olmsted print & repeat design is giving away one My Neighbor’s Yard Towel and one Critter Comfort Hand Towel to two winners (one towel each)! To enter to win, please answer the following question by Tuesday, August 7th. Comments now closed…good luck!

    Although I have a mishmash of pans that have been donated to my broke self by various friends and relatives, I reach for the same one every time– a gigantic, deep-sided skillet that’s as good for stir fry chicken as it is for making veggie pasta sauce.

    Wish I had something fancy to say but I don’t. Just a knife. It can really do everything if you think about it… Whereas, a spoon (to stir pasta or something), you can’t use to cut chicken.

    Is it weird to say my whisk? I don’t know why, but I find the act of whisking together sauces really satisfying. Taking ingredients of different consistencies and mixing them perfectly into something yummy is just delightful. There’s one peanut sauce that always seizes up in a weird way *right* before it becomes delicious and amazing, and I just know I have to keep whisking right through that stage. And incorporating oil into dressing takes some arm strength and patience, but is always worth it. I love pulling out my whisk and making some magic!
