{please visit Charm Design here}

Hello, October! All of us here at the BSP are so excited to see you! Granted, for some of us (ahem, me, cough, cough) I haven’t quite felt your presence knocking on my door considering my area of the world has been swathed in what is affectionately known as Indian Summer. However, we are going to give you the benefit of the doubt. Further, we are going to celebrate you with springing into fall! It’s all about early evenings, pumpkin flavored everything, and holiday prep lists ’round these parts. Although my adventures scream the changing of the seasons, I will heed your temperature warnings and stick with my tried and true summer uniform of a long and light maxi skirt, a tank, and a small clutch to hold my essentials. (This does call for a new clutch, however. New season and all.)

Charm Design to the rescue! Ranja Lee creates gorgeous bags that will easily carry you from here to there and everywhere in between. Perfectly bright enough for daytime soirees while elegant enough to carry you through your pre-holiday festivities, Lee’s bags are the gorgeous marriage of chic and fun, bright and sophisticated. I am so in love with this Dream Flower Zipper Pouch, I can’t even tell you. From graphics to florals, with Charm Design, you are sure to find the perfect bag to tote your essentials along this journey from “Spring into Fall.”

Charm Design is giving away a $40 gift certificate to the shop to one lucky reader! To enter to win, please answer the following question by Tuesday, October 9th. Comments now closed…good luck!

    The smell. Leaves, fires, toasted marshmallows, cinnamon spiced everything, candles, blankets, the beginning of evergreen, the crisp cold breeze, quiet mornings as the world wakes up, soup simmering on the stove all day long, a warm hot chocolate, baking cookies, rain-soaked earth, warm sweaters that have been in storage, apple cider, apple pie, apple orchards…. Everything in fall has a special smell, and with each experience I love drinking it all in and immersing myself in it. Fall is seen with the eyes, felt with the breezes, chills and fires, Heard with the crunch of leaves and the crackle of flames, Tasted with delicious fall treats and of course, smelled.

    the question’s biased, there isn’t fall in my part of the world (the equator) to talk about! D:

    just kidding haha. while i haven’t really experienced fall myself, i think the best parts of it would be the cooler weather and more importantly the beauty found in the entire season even as life starts to fade away (like falling leaves and withering plants). it’s like nature telling us that even when she’s gonna go on hiatus for a few months she’s got to go out with a bang!

    Fall is actually the warmest season in San Francisco, which means that there are some evenings that I can go out in shorts or dresses.  I love being able to do that as the chance to do it is rare in a place as foggy as the Bay Area.
    When fall starts in October the switch to dark, cool nights is actually a welcome change, but it hasn’t happened yet.

    I haven’t had a “First Day of School” in over 10 years but every time fall comes I get the same excited feeling that I did when I was a kid. All I have to do is step out into the crisp morning air (I live in a cold climate) andiIt all floods back -new backpacks, clean sneakers, sheets of ice on top of puddles and the anticipation of the holidays. My son will be going to school in a few years and I can’t wait to make those days special for him too. It’s my favorite season!
