When it comes to accessories, I am a firm believer in options. Sure, there are the tried and true pieces we wear all the time (wedding rings, for example) but for the rest of the adornment, it always helps to have pieces that match your mood. I mean, we don’t wear the same outfit every day, right? (Uniforms aside, obviously.) Why should our jewelry be the same every day? This is why part of our mission this month is to introduce you to a variety of artists to whet your appetite. Artists who speak to beauty and passion and joy.

Danique Jewelry is full of beauty, passion, joy. Named after her daughter, Irina creates stunning pieces with different gemstones, gold, and sterling silver. Her work is clearly a labor of love and it shows. With impeccable craftsmanship and simple, clean design, Danique Jewelry is the perfect place to find that meaningful piece to gift to a loved one or even yourself. I, personally, have my eyes set on the Orange Agate Teardrop necklace and the Faceted Green Amethyst ring. I could tell you these are bookmarked for others but I care about you too much to not be honest. These beauties have my name all over them.

Danique Jewelry is giving away one Personalized Seafoam Aqua Chalcedony Bracelet to one lucky winner! To enter, please answer the following question no later than Wednesday, January 23rd. Comments now closed…good luck!

The rings are my favorite–especially the green onyx.

Hmm… as a college student, I don’t really date, I just “hang out” with my boyfriend and sometimes we see a movie. 🙂  Does homework and grocery shopping count?

I loooooooooove the Faceted Aqua Seafoam Chalcedony Sterling Silver bezel set Stud Post Earrings!

Oh, I dunno, I’m not picky–anything that combines coffee and a good topic of conversation is a recipe for success.  And maybe a superhero movie.  That always helps.

I love the labradorite earrings! The best date I have ever been on? It is either very sad, or really terrific, that I cannot say – all my dates have been great! Being chased by an angry bull across a field when on a romantic picnic is definitely one of the more memorable, though.

I love the White druzy sterling silver pear drop shape stacking bezel set ring. The best date? The first date with my future husband, just because we ended up getting marruied six years later. 🙂

I actually really love the Icedony bracelet pictured here. My second fav is the Tiny faceted Mini Nugget Gold necklace. And the best date I’ve been on? Hmm….ok but only if you promise not to tell my husband! I have the best dates with my soul friend Angela. You see, she will go to the fancy restaurants, lounges and jazz concerts with me. My favorite outing with her so far has been to her favorite group “the average white band”. It was so much fun to see her face light up when they were on stage. Boys are fun, but girl friends I think make great dates as well.

I love a ton of the jewelry, but I especially like anything with the Labradorite stone, so beautiful!
My best date was my first date with my now husband. It was a blind date set up by my sister in law. We went for dinner and then to a bar. We drank a little too much and the whole thing was very awkward, but we knew we liked each other right away.  Despite the awkwardness, we decided to see eachother again, and never spent a day apart after that!

My favorite date was probably to a Glee Concert – not only am I a gleek, but the concert was basically a show of the best of the “80s, 90s and today!” It was a birthday present and something I’ll never forget.

It was perfect night.

I am in love, Love, LOVE with the Natural Faceted various gemstones rim set necklace- Lollipop Station.  It is really stunning.

My best date ever was with my now husband (wasn’t at the time).  It was summer time and we went to an outdoor restaurant.  We spent what felt like hours talking, eating peel and eat shrimp and drinking beer in the warm afternoon sun until the sun went down.  Doesn’t sound all that amazing, but there was something about the magic of the place, the time, and the company that came together and still remains 14 years later as one of my happiest memories.  I think I fell in love with him that day. My husband and I will celebrate our 12 year anniversary on January 21 and are planning a night together with our son, one of the first we’ve had in the four years since he was born.  (No close family so we don’t have any reliable babysitters!)  Maybe that will end up being my new “best date” !!!!

My Favorite is the Faceted White Moonstone Earrings. They would look great with everything!

When I was 16 I went on a date to the airport of all places! We sat and watched the planes take off (this was before 9/11 and the security crackdowns) and couples reuniting. Cinnabon and talking and learning about each other. It was just a really sweet date. Now we’re married with babies and plan on getting old and wrinkly together.

Three charm personalized vermeli gold disc necklace is my favorite. Ever since I became a mother three years and two boys later, I love keeping them literally and symbolically close to me. I would stamp have their initials stamped on there with the name of the new baby on the way.

My best date has to be every date I take with my 3-year old. We go on dates every few weeks (to the museum to do an art project! to go see the christmas lights and eat a cupcake!) just the two of us. It’s amazing to me how well my kids respond, how well they blossom when I take the time to spend one-on-one time with them.

The entire range is so gorgeous. I love the ‘Large faceted Dyed Ruby bezel set drops’. The red is beautiful (but so are the other colours). My husband and I met at the airport, a brief blind date before he went back to work overseas. In the first five minutes, I knew he was ‘The One’. We were married a year later.

My favorite piece is the large citrine quartz drop on the gold necklace.  It makes me smile.

The best date I have ever been on was the night my husband and I took our two boys out to dinner at our favorite restaurant in Santa Barbara (a 30 min. drive from our house).  I had been feeling housebound and wanting to dress up and go out but didn’t want to leave the boys with a sitter or ask our parents to watch them.  Everybody had a fantastic time.  We had made rules about only talking about things that are interesting to the other people, wearing nice clothes because it’s important to look good for others, calm, polite manners, and only ordering food that you don’t eat at home.  It was a perfectly fantastic night. Yummy food, laughter and talking and the boys saw daddy “romance” mommy.  On the way home we pulled off of lookout spot over the city and all four of us sat on the roof of our toyota 4-runner and looked out over the city lights the ocean and the stars.  9 years later, all four of us still call that restaurant our favorite and that night is one of my most precious memories of who my young boys would become as young men and seeing my husband love and cherish me and my desire to be treated to a special night out.

it’s all so gorgeous, but i’ll choose the gold leaf necklace as my favorite today.  and my favorite date?  well, that would probably be the weekend my husband and i snuck a way to monterey for the weekend, driving through big sur on the way, when i was pregnant with our second baby.  it was the first time we left our first baby for more than a few hours, and i was heartbroken at first, but it was so good to get away!  can that count as a date?

My favourite is the personalised gemstone necklaces, all of the stones are stunning but my three favs are solar quartz, labradorite, and moonstone. I love it all!

I’m not really one for intense dates but I love the idea of planning something out for some one special. Sometimes plans go terribly awry…. read on:

My favourite date is probably when I met up with my now boyfriend in NZ – we had already met in Aus, and by coincidence were going to be in NZ at the same time over xmas (a happy coincidence for me). My boyfriend who is a kiwi thought he would show me a traditional kiwi good time, and take me night fishing. Sadly we ran out of fuel once we got to our special fishing spot, and naturally his cellphone was dead.  After two hours of trying to signal another boat (anyone!) I lay there attempting to sleep rigor mortis style, with three lifejackets layered on top of me, and fish guts matted around the sleeves of my sweater, while bad luck boyfriend stared at the GPS. We had to be hauled in a 5 30 am by an old man who was out catching his morning fish fry in a little put-put boat. My boyfriend says he knew I would “sweet as” when I just laughed the whole thing off, and after that I learnt how to fillet a snapper.

    i’m 21 and never been on a date! 😀

i guess i used to feel slightly insecure when i was younger, especially when i meet up with ex-classmates for meals and tadaah, yet another girl is attached (i was from an all-girls school) but now that i’m older and (hopefully) wiser, singlehood is something i treasure as well and i’m totally enjoying my life! of course i do hope to find mr right in the future, but for now i’ll just wait patiently 🙂

I just L O V E the Black Druzy Quartz Vermeil earrings! I love all things sparkly that aren’t blatantly sparkly.

The best date I’ve ever been on was quite recently. He had told me he was a musician but I never imagined that when we went for coffee after dinner he’d play a bunch of songs for me. It felt like he was performing a mini concert just for me. The baristas were closing up shop and I thought, “oh…the date’s over.” But he surprised me, leaned over and said, “I’m not ready to let you go home yet.” The rest…history 🙂

My favorite is the Large Black Druzy Quartz Vermeil Gold bezel set necklace! So pretty!

I haven’t been on many traditional dates, but the best one I’ve been on was when he took me to a brand new club in Miami and got us into the VIP, where we hung out with his friends and danced all night. After leaving, we took the top off his Jeep and rode in the open air down to the beach, which was deserted. We ended up skinny dipping in the ocean in the dark and laid out on the beach til the sun came up. While the relationship fizzled after only a few more dates, that was a first date I’ll never forget.

    Jessica Shea says:

Double Faceted White Moonstone and dyed ruby Vermeil Gold bezel set Earrings, wow! Talk about gorgeous earrings!

My best date ever was when my boyfriend (my now husband), who was living in Montana at the time, took me up to this secluded little spot on the Big Hole river, a place that he only went to by himself or with family/friends to relax and just enjoy being. Well, he took me up there and showed me around his stomping grounds and then attempted to teach my how to fly fish (didn’t go so well) but it was SO incredible being let in like that and seeing him enjoy himself so much 🙂
