One of the best ways to commemorate a vacation is by bringing home some kind of souvenir. This isn’t groundbreaking news, of course, but I find that I always love to remember certain places I’ve been by keeping something tangible on hand. I’ll confess a bit of a secret here, though. I also tend to keep “souvenirs” of places I have never been. From postcards to maps to trinkets, I love to showcase the places I wish to go just as much as the ones I’ve been to. I bring the sunshine from Maui into my house with actual souvenirs from when I lived there. I also bring the sunshine from the Philippines into my home via vintage treasures my mom has given me. Though I have never been to the Philippines, I find myself feeling connected regardless.
Tiffany Burnette connects people to places through her creations and brand, Designhype. Her one woman show is a celebration of the places we love and the ways in which we explore them. Whether commemorating your love for a place you have been or honoring your desire to go one day, Burnette creates one of a kind necklaces and key rings as well as stunningly beautiful embossed Metro Cuffs. Paris is on my list for must see locations and I am thinking this cuff is a perfect way to celebrate my wanderlust. I mean, I’ve got to start somewhere, right?
