Happy February, friends! While I understand the desire to shun the somewhat cheesy nature surrounding this month’s holiday, I vote we put a new spin on it. Rather than celebrate one day of the month with hyped expectations and limited imagination, let’s celebrate the entire month with joy and abandon. Let’s focus on the things we love, those things that bring out the best in us, that make us strive to be better versions of ourselves. Let’s find brands and products and let them know that “We Heart It!”

Dirty Librarian Chains is a personal favorite of mine, folks. Truth be told, I am in awe of designer Susan Domelsmith and her impeccably chic aesthetic and eco-consciousness. Utilizing vintage materials (since it is already there for the using!), Domelsmith also uses recycled materials in her packaging. Shall we talk beauty? The Alpine Necklace and the Bookmark Necklace are vying for my love. Talk about Valentines. My heart, she swoons.

Dirty Librarian Chains is giving away one Brushstroke Necklace to one lucky winner! To enter to win, please answer the following question no later than Tuesday, February 12th. Comments now closed…good luck!
Tell us your favorite Dirty Librarian Chains piece AND what is the most romantic thing someone has ever said to you?
Start checking the winner’s box on Monday, February 19th, to see if you’ve won!

Ooh, I am crazy about the Alpine earrings.

It’s hard to narrow down THE most romantic thing that’s ever been said to me, because, as long as we’ve known each other, my husband has been saying sweet, silly, romantic things to me. Maybe my favorite is from the first letter (yes, a real, live handwritten letter!) he wrote me almost 13 years ago, in which he compared me to a grape Otter Pop (the best flavor, of course, and the flavor you wish the whole box could be 🙂 ). We were teenagers and had just met, but there was already something fun and special and wonderful there.

So many beautiful pieces and so hard to choose! The expressionism necklace is gorgeous just the thing to class up my wardrobe mainstays of v-neck t-shirts dark jeans and boots. I love the use of vintage materials. And the most romantic thing someone has ever said . . . .I would have to go with the daily I love you between my fiance and I before I leave for work. It’s a daily reminder of how lucky I am to have him in my life and I try hard to enjoy it every morning and not take it for granted.

I’m digging the Alpine Necklace, does it come with the model!? SO fluffy and adorbs!! The most romantic thing ever said to me was when my husband and I started dating…he told me that he felt like he had finally found ME, and that I wasn’t his destination, I was his journey. I love that!! We are having a terrific journey together.

I actually really love the Brushstroke necklace that is being given away, but I think the Stratus necklace is my very favorite. The most romantic things that anyone has ever said to me are contained in the love letters my husband used to send me when we were first dating, but I’m not going to disclose what they actually say.:-)

I love the bold Expressionism necklace, with the brushstroke necklace as a close second. My husband has said terribly romantic things to me, but when my 3 year-old boy told me, “Mommy, you are my favorite girl in the wide world,” I swooned and kissed his chubby wee face for about 30 minutes straight.

The Alpine necklace is stunning! 6 years ago my husband told me that he wanted to have children with me. Even three kids later, it makes my heart skip a beat to think about. To me, it meant complete love, trust and an excitement for our future together. Geez, I love that man.

I love the Polar Necklace!  It’s hard to pick a most romantic thing, but my boyfriend used to change the words to nursery rhymes to incorporate my nickname, then he’d sing them to me whenever I had a bad day.  It was so sweet and wonderful, it never failed to pick me up 🙂

The frost bracelet is pretty fantastic.

The most romantic thing, “I want to spend my life with you.”

    echo says:

I love the Alpine Necklace, although I may be slightly swayed by how much that cat rocks it. The other question makes me too shy, but I am lucky to have a completely genuine and kind husband who never holds back his praise.

My favorite is the brushstroke necklace because of the simplicity and I love mixed metals. The data necklace is a close second.
I don’t know if I can remember the most romantic statement my boyfriend has made, but my daily favorite is  “I’ve made you coffee. . .  ”  😀

I am head over heels for the Rhythm Bracelet! It’s simple enough for everyday wear, yet can definitely be dressed up! My fiancee promised me the day before he got deployed to Iraq that our life together would start the minute he touched down on American soil! Melt!

    Sydney says:

I am simply in love with the high sea necklace.

And one South American night filled with Argentine dancing, Spanish whispers, and overflowing bubbly drinks, a boy drove me home and told me in both English and Spanish that the only reason he’d come to the States would be to see me, or that I should stay in Argentina with him for a long time. The conversation nor the relationship extended past that week in Argentina, but the complete forwardness of it all made it too romantic at that time.

    Emma says:

I like the reshelf earrings the best.
Is it sad that I cannot remember the most romantic thing? It must have been my husband, though.

    Jennifer says:

I love the oyster sweater clips! I hope sweater clips make a comeback – they’re so classy.
The most romantic thing ever said to me was, “will you marry me.”

I’m diggin the Rhythm Bracelet, so pretty! The most romantic thing someone has ever said to me…probably the random handsome man on the street who stopped me and told me that I had the most beautiful eyes he’d ever seen. Totally made my week.
