Giveaway :: Dr. Tingleton’s Miracle Apps

Tuesday, February 28, 2012

Let’s be honest with ourselves, shall we? Don’t we all have cloudy days where things just never seem to go our way; days where we feel like a dull version of our best selves? These are the kinds of days where a random compliment can literally brighten things up and change our perspective. These are the kinds of days where the details make the difference. (Okay, I am having one of those days today. I’ll admit it.)

It only seems fitting to add the genius creation of husband/wife team, Gregory Cowley and Camille Verboort, Dr. Tingleton’s Miracle Apps to our theme of “We Heart It.”  After Verboot came up with the idea to create an app that generated a compliment whenever you need one, “the two worked together to create Dr. Tingleton, a quasi snake oil salesman, who uses his psychic powers and miracle elixirs to help people improve their lives through the power of compliments, improved communication and beautified correspondence.” I tell you what, I could have used some Dr. Tingleton today. Surely I’m not the only one. I don’t know about you, but I already feel better knowing this app is out there, just waiting to tell me how nice I look today. In fact, I just smiled.

Dr. Tingleton’s Miracle Apps is giving away five (5!) Dr. Tingleton’s Miracle Compliment Generator to five lucky winners AND five (5!) Dr. Tingleton’s Miracle Correspondence Stimulators to five lucky winners. To enter to win, please answer the following question by Tuesday, March 6th. Good luck!

I was told by a high school secretary, that she contacted me to substitute teach for a Spanish teacher for the day because she received kind words from a Spanish teacher at another school (in the same school district). Thing is, I didn’t sub for that teacher, she only knew about me because I had subbed for the history teacher that shares her classroom! He must’ve mentioned something about me, and thus my name got passed along! That was a great start for the day!

My mother in law told me that I was a great mom.  It was exactly what I needed to hear.  I was dealing with postpartum depression and feeling like I was failing.  She gave me a hug and said I was doing a great job.  And that my kids laughter at that moment was a sign.  It was a turning point day for me.

Ex’s Friend to me: “There’s something about you…”
    Me: “It’s just me”
    Ex: “She sparkles”

Never forget it. Even on my days in my pj’s (like now) with my 18 month old banging the rails in her cot (she should be asleep!)… I still remember 🙂

A nice compliment that I got when I was a new mom was my niece telling me that she wanted to have a marriage and be a mom just like me when she grew up. What an amazing feeling to think I was making an impression on someone when I was trying to be that perfect Mom.
