I have always thought that the perfect time for a quick weekend getaway is right between that time when summer ends and fall begins. Think about it. Everyone is back to their daily grind yet the long nights aren’t quite over and the transition from a relaxing and fun filled summer into the holiday season is enough to make anyone want to escape. How about letting your “Endless Summer” become the perfect excuse for squeezing in that last little weekend away? (Just a quick one, I promise.) And I’m here to help you pack.
Erin Miller Arnold creates gorgeous bags (not to mention some fabulous hand painted scarves and fine art) that will become absolute staples in your repertoire. Each piece is screenprinted, block printed and/or painted by Arnold and the chic simplicity of the patterns are kinetic and invigorating. This set of three gray screenprinted bags is just screaming for a weekend trip to somewhere exotic (I’ll let you define “exotic” so, really, anywhere goes.) I know that my need to hold onto this “Endless Summer” fits perfectly between the canvas of these three bags. I’ll be sure to send a postcard.

The last vacation I took was a mini vacation to Boston for a few days to listen to one of my favorite authors speak.
ummmmmm, Hatteras Island, 2009.
I NEED a vacation!
my last real vacation (“obli-cations” where you spend 2 weeks visiting family & friends don’t count!!) was a perfect “mommy & daddy only” weekend driving down Skyline Dr through the Shenandoahs, enjoying nature, eating wonderful food, and drinking great wine.
Last August, a week in the South of Italy at the seaside and a week in the North of Italy on the mountain. A perfect combination and both me and my husband were happy
The last vacation I took was to drop off a dog that my sister’s boyfriend’s family bought in my state that just so happens to be four states away, a nine hour car ride later and the newest family member arrived safely.
