Face to Face Products

{shop :: Facebook}

When we moved into our new place (um, eight months ago) I never really unpacked the family photos. I have them in a box, waiting. I’m still trying to figure out what exactly I want to do. Do I go for framed prints around? Small, large? Do I print everything out enlarged and black and white and cover one whole wall? Pinterest doesn’t help; the indecision escalates. Recently, however, I decided on doing the same as our framed art wall: a medley of eclectic frames. Decision made. Now I just need to implement.

Face to Face Designs is a good place to start. Brigitte Mckeown is the designer behind Face to Face Designs, working with her husband and best friend. Creating gorgeous frames and other accessories, Face to Face is chock full of the kind of work that inspires and becomes a favorite in your home. Their desire to bring beauty and meaning into every piece they create shines through and I think using one of these salvaged wood frames (sigh, I have such a love for salvaged wood) is the perfect way to start my family wall. Indeed.

Face to Face Designs is giving away one 12 x 12 frame that holds an 8 x 10 photo. (Prize may be different than photo above.) To enter to win, please answer the following question no later than Wednesday, June 12th. Comments now closed…good luck!
Please visit Face to Face Designs and tell us: Do you display a lot of photos in your home? What type of pictures are you drawn to – people, landscapes, vacations?
Start checking the winners box on Monday, June 17th, to see if you’ve won!<?h5>

I prefer photos of people whom I love to display in my home. My husband and I didn’t register for our wedding because we were grown adults who didn’t need a lot, and lived in two separate apartments we’d need to whittle down to one apartment (which we hadn’t found yet, so storage was uncertain). Having been to my fair share of bridal showers and knowing the massive bulk all of the lovingly-chosen presents can add up to, we came up with a unique idea for the two showers being thrown for me. We requested that people bring a framed photo of their family as their present for the shower. We loved the idea of our whole support network being displayed on our walls and in many cases, we received beautiful photos we otherwise wouldn’t have been able to take ourselves. We spread them throughout our new apartment after we were married, and it was just wonderful to have groupings of frames in every room that held those that are near and dear to our hearts.

I love photographs of animals. They bring the beauty of the world in and they are humorous, calming, happy-making, and profound at once.

Love your crates with casters! My favorite photos to display are candid shots that capture a story. I just took two polaroids that I stuck on my fridge-one of my three kids stripped down to their undies eating Popsicles and the other a picture of my son dressed as a cowboy aiming a cap gun at a cactus. Both make me SO happy every time I walk by the fridge. Thanks!

I don’t display many photos because I don’t print photos that often! The few photos I have displayed are photos of my brother and I on vacation, my mom and I at special events (like graduation), and my dogs. I’m definitely drawn more to images of faces…While I do like landscapes, I feel that they would blend in and I wouldn’t notice them that much anymore.

I’m a lucky, lucky girl and I come from a family of talented photographers, so my house is chock full of photos. We love to display pictures of our children as well as pictures of places that are home to us: Glacier National Park, rural shots from my father’s home town in Montana, and beach pictures from San Diego, where my husband grew up. I love the wood frames. I have a few more pictures I want to hang that would look stunning in your work!

I do display a lot of photos. They are the best kind of art- so meaningful and attached to memories, relationships, special people and places. Most of the photos I have displayed feature people but I have a few collage frames highlighting beautiful places I’ve been, too- Yellowstone, Peru, Jamaica, and Charleston to name a few.

I do not have paintings in my house, just pictures of me and my family and some landscapes. I love photographs and I love taking photographs! I have just a few shot of when I was a child until I was 2 years old, then nothing until I started taking photos with my own camera (my parents were not used of it) so I have a gap of 20 years… and it’s sad!! This may be the reason why I am so fond of taking photos in every time every day

i love pictures. pictures of everything. pictures of pictures. anything to remind me of a person, a time or a place. I am so happy to live in a digital age where we can always reprint these memories if they are lost!

I love displaying photos and art in my home. Family pictures of course, religious art, and still life photos are my favorite. I love the rustic frames- especially the reclaimed wood with turquoise paint!

I love photos that are of my family that are not IMMEDIATELY recognizable as us. By which I mean, they are beautiful, beautiful shots that involve landscape. We just happen to be in them. Does that make sense?

I have large canvas photo prints from my wedding. My favorite is one where we are walking away. The beach is behind us, ahead of us is a beautiful bridge framed with trees. I love it because it shows us going into the world together. Facing things together. It’s us, but it’s not a selfie. 🙂

I love photos that remind me of things I believe and inspire me. That photo, and some others I have, do that for me. They remind me of who I am and what I am doing in this world, and the way I am doing them with the people that I love.

I have lots of photos in my home, and it’s usually the first thing guests mention when they come over for the first time! Ha! I have a collection of old family photos, my favorites being of my parents when they were in grade school. I also have an ever growing collection of black and white tree photos, there is just something so beautiful and magical about trees I never get tired of looking at them!

Most of the pictures in our home are of family and friends. We live 6+ hours away from all of our family so it is important to us to have their photos up. Also, I am admittedly obsessed with my dog so he makes several appearances in frames as well!

i used to like taking pictures of scenes but now i find myself appreciating my mum’s advice more often: it’s only worth it if you’re in the picture as well. that’s why most, if not all of the photos displayed at home are of family and friends 🙂

I have a range of framed photos, random photos tucked into the corners of mirrors and photos pinned to my corkboard. If I love the photo it will find a happy home. I’m very much drawn to photos of my loved ones laughing. It is always wonderful to catch a moment of pure joy.

We live in an older house with lots of windows so there isn’t much wall space around. I’ve toyed with doing a half wall of photos in our living room for a long time. Instead, I do lots of photos that I put on tables which adds warmth but really does look a bit messy. I’d love to kick start my wall of photos with one of those gorgeous frames!

I’m like you in that I have framed pics tucked away in boxes. I have TONS of pics, unframed, waiting to be sorted. Of course my pics are in frames from the 70’s on up. They don’t match and they’re not all one color. Which pics to display? The ones I love most.
