Happy July, friends! We hope you are feeling the month of July as much as we are around these parts. For the duration of the month, we will be focusing on ways you can “Bring the Sunshine In.” (This is especially helpful for those of you living in climates that are cooler in July!) While the summer is generally known as the time we spend most of our hours outdoors, there is something about the warmth of the longer days that just begs to be invited in around the clock, don’t you think? So, let’s celebrate! To kick off our month-long celebration, let’s talk about design, shall we?
Truly, friends, there is no marriage more perfect than that between celebration and design. From party invitations to hosting a backyard bbq, the right key elements can take a simple day and turn it into something extraordinary. Monica Loos from Fig & Tulip is a born artist. A graphic designer with a deep love of paper (something she and I share), Loos began by designing her own invitations and announcements and after friends started requesting more and more designs, her business was born. All of her designs are printed by hand in San Francisco and there is just something you can feel in that kind of personal attention. I am thinking I must have the Dora stationery for myself and for my children: the Shane. (Let’s be honest, I’ll probably be getting myself some of the Shane, too.) Fig & Tulip is at the top of my list for sunshine. Year round.
