{please visit Fogle Bags here}

You would think all this talk about how we should collectively “Spring into Fall” would mean that I had my act together. Such is not the case, dear readers. Case in point: my current purse is what could be classified as a summer tote. It is cotton, lightweight, and altogether inappropriate for fall. It seems a simple problem. Yet, I am quite a particular sort when it comes to switching out my everyday bag. I won’t settle. I would rather carry summer on my shoulder than strap myself down with a fall that doesn’t fit.

Ah, Fogle Bags, you have made me see the light. After all my searching, I have found a shop that fits all my requirements. Under the decidedly chic eye of Tamara Fogle, this brand marries vintage aesthetics with modern functionality, impeccable design with superb simplicity. There is a wide array of styles and patterns to suit your needs, but let’s get to the meat of the matter. This Grab Bag is perfection. We should all own one. Every last one of us. Then all will be right with the world. Commence fall.

    As odd as it may sound, I actually enjoy cleaning the bathroom.

    Vacuuming. Boring, I know, but one ‘small’ (ish) thing can make such a difference and you get back what you put in- about the only thing in my life that’s balanced- hah!

    I really enjoy dusting because I get to stop and look at everything I’m dusting off: old photos in frames, little souvenirs from traveling, ornaments and gifts from friends, and all of the little things that make me smile and remember good times.

    I love ironing clothes. I haven’t done it much since I moved out of the parents’ house (my mom would not let anyone out of the house unless their clothes are neat and ironed!) But I remember being in 5th or 6th grade and asking my mom if I could iron my cousin’s dress shirt. He just started his “on-the-job-training” and had to wear slacks and dress shirts for the first time! Ever since then, I started volunteering to iron clothes often. I find it calming and relaxing–as if there’s nothing to worry about but making sure all the creases are straightened out.

    I relish in the satisfaction that comes from organizing my living space.  I live in a 900 sqft. apartment, which becomes cluttered easily.  I recently acquired a mouse problem, and have set traps for the little critters.  I hadn’t yet caught one until this morning.  I cleaned up all the clutter in my living space this week, and snap, a critter couldn’t take it.
    I did not wince at disposing of the varmint since I know they carry disease.  I was happy to be rid of it, and even happier to be rid of clutter.  It is an effort to keep my place in good shape, but I was glad to have put the effort in since there is one less mouse scurrying around my living room.

    I’ve got a soft spot for washing dishes – something about the hot soapy water is kind of therapeutic to me! Weird I know.

    I also like to wash dishes. It a must for me because I do not have any dishwasher. My backbone suffers less that while vacuuming or doing other works. And flowing water brings pleasant feeling of cleanliness.

    I love “cleansing” my apartment. By this I mean going over everything with a fine tooth comb and getting rid of anything we don’t need or can be given to charity. I feel lighter and brighter after I do it, though it drives my partner mad! Since I’ve moved so much I just can’t stand clutter!

    I like doing the laundry, especially hanging the clothes on the clothes line! It is so satisfying, and seeing the clothes swishing in the breeze is so pretty! Unfortunately after that is the folding, which is an un-favorite for me.

    I love doing the laundry because it makes me feel like I accomplished a big task and I feel like everything is clean and ready to wear! Buttttt I absolutely hate hanging up the clothes on hangers… I rather it all stay in a nice clean stacked pile… Please don’t judge 😉 I wish I could stop this theme, my husband hates it!

    There’s a pleasure I get from folding the towels in a large load of laundry… something about how easy it is to feel closer to “done,” watching a pile of colors stack up.
