{shop :: Facebook :: Twitter}

We all have our everyday pieces for jewelry, don’t we? Those pieces that we put on as a part of our daily routine, before we leave the house. There are phases, of course. Times when we wear less or more and the pieces sometimes rotate given where we are in our life. But the purpose is the same. And the style is generally the same as well: simple. There is something about the simplicity that ties everything together, brings us back to center.

Fresh Tangerine is a go-to shop for finding the simplicity you need to start the day. Kim Kogane creates gorgeous jewelry that you will find yourself reaching for day in and day out before you leave the house. Kogane’s pieces are the finishing touches, the last looks. This Ampersand ring is personal must-have and I guarantee I am not the only person who feels this way. Fresh Tangerine lives up to its name in providing just the right thing to get your day off to the right start.

i LOVE to support small businesses!! glad i found a new shop to look at!
Speaking of everyday pieces… mine are from a shop called tiny galaxies on etsy {who has been featured on this blog before!!} Sara’s tiny, sparkly earrings are on my ears Ever Time i Leave my house.
i feel not quite put together without them. i have probably 8 or 9 pair that i rotate through depending on what i’m wearing.

I really only wear my wedding band every day, and teeny silver studs in my ears, but I do have a few necklaces that I wear fairly frequently. One is an Australian coin from the 1940’s that my grandpa picked up during WWII and had made into a necklace, and a pendant of Africa that I bought when I lived there.

I tend to always rotate a few pieces for everyday wear, and they seem to cycle every couple years or so.  Right now my every day pieces are mostly gold, and my current favorites in the rotation are a pair of delicate earrings with a Minnesota charm, to celebrate my home state. 🙂

Turquoise!  Ever since we moved from Arizona turquoise has been my very favorite! Xo,

My simple, small cross ring dons my finger every day, with its silver, tiny, but extremely strong presence in my life.

I have a thing about seeing a piece of jewelry and coveting it for a loooong time before I let myself get it. My current necklace was something I had my eye on for over 2 years! Part of why I have a hard time buying myself jewelry is that I tend to put one thing on and leave it on for ages (this necklace hasn’t left my throat since I got it in October!), so buying more seems silly. Other than my engagement and wedding band, the only other piece of jewelry I wear regularly is a silver Irish-woven ring that I purchased from my friend’s mom’s store. She lost the store in a flood a few years ago that affected a lot of my parents’ town, and I was so proud of her when she rebuilt it, I knew I wanted to buy something. It’s a reminder to myself to work hard at what I want and to not be afraid of setbacks.

my wedding band is my everyday piece. i am waiting on a special necklace a friend is making for me that incorporates a beloved pet that i just had to say goodbye to recently. that will certainly be an everyday piece when it is in my posession.

I have a necklace with a charm in the shape of Missouri, with a heart cut-out on Kansas City. In a previous job I use to travel all of the time, and for Valentines Day my husband gave me the necklace and said that no matter where I was, this way I could always have my heart at home. 🙂 I love that little necklace!

My wedding ring (deep blue sapphire and eight small diamonds), a ring layered under it (a band of alternating rubies and diamonds) that my husband gave me for our 10th wedding anniversary, a pair of diamond earrings (given to me by my sons on my 35th birthday, in pierced holes at the upper part of my ears), a diamond earring 1/2 way down my left ear that I pierced when I was 18 with my (still 🙂 ) best friend, my lower lobes are double pierced and I wear a pair of light blue, nearly turquoise, studs that my grandmother dug up in a mine in Montana and had set into earrings in the top whole and I change out the bottom whole with dangles everyday according to my outfit and what I feel like wearing.  I love to add other rings, bracelets, and necklaces and change those pieces everyday.

I wear my wedding rings, my MK watch that my husband gave me as a wedding gift and then I usually wear a necklace my husband had an Etsy seller make for me with a violin bridge pendant on it.  My earrings change depending on what I’m wearing that day.  I love unique jewelry though.

    ren says:

wedding band (never gets swapped out), right hand ring of either a sliver cigar band or a set featuring a stone for creativity, silver hoop earrings (3), and a necklace, usually either a silver and diamond skull, a tiny silver word balloon or, today, a dragon’s claw to remind me to be a khaleesi.

I’m one of the weird ones that sleeps in my jewelry – including watch, wedding ring and I never take off the necklace my mom left-it was 3 separate rings of diamonds that we had split and each of my sisters wears the same one.  I love rotating funky bracelets and cool necklaces !!

I never leave the house without my watch and my cross necklace – I feel naked without them. I do have different watches that I wear – but my necklace is always there – as are the little gold studs in my ears!

i wear this large black cocktail ring i got from h&m on clearance for $4 every day. Everyone asks me if it’s a family heirloom  because it looks really vintage. It is faded and sometimes even turns my finger green,  but I love it! I also always wear a watch, which I didn’t use to. I go through fazes though. I never was into long necklaces until recently and now I have a ton of them. I try and rotate a few times a week!

    Regan says:

I’ve recently put a pair of gold fan-shaped earrings in heavy rotation. They were my grandmother’s and although they’re total cheap-o earrings I love their retro vibe & the fact that they remind me of my Mimi. I mostly wear them with a braided gold headband and a couple of slim gold bangles that were my mom’s. I love connecting with my family this way.

    JJ Keith says:

The only things I wear every single day are my wedding ring and my grandma’s ring, but at any given moment I have a few pieces that I rely on to go with everything. Lately it has been a little pair of turquoise gem-shaped earrings from Mod Cloth.

My favorite pieces of jewelry are three different rings that belonged to both of my  grandmothers and grandfather. I wear them almost daily. All of these grandparents have passed away and I like wearing them to still feel close to them.

My agate necklace, my engagement ring, and my wedding band. I rotate my necklace depending on my outfit, but agate goes with almost everything!

I have a pretty gold lock bracelet that I could wear everyday (if I remembered!). It’s simple & cute. I don’t really wear a lot of jewelry otherwise.

I wear my wedding band and a thin necklace…I saw one of the Gilmore girls always wearing this thin necklace and just loved the look so I found one that I can’t even feel I’m wearing and it is on all the time. yeah for tv inspired fashion!

    Pumpernickel says:

I most often wear a necklace made out of pounamu. It is a type of jade found only on the south island of New Zealand. It is really very special to me because I bought it the day my first baby was conceived (sorry! TMI!) and it was the most amazing week of my life. I had traveled literally halfway around the globe and every time I see the necklace it brings me right back. I don’t wear it every day but when I do it makes me happy.

    Kristen H. says:

My everyday jewelry is my wedding ring and a Baltic amber necklace. My usual wardrobe is pretty casual, but I love slipping on a pretty bracelet some days just to remind me of my girly side.

My everyday staples are my wedding rings.  I like to switch up what’s on my wrist and ears.  Lately, I’ve been favoring the simple elegance type pieces, which Fresh Tangerine seems to perfectly fit.

I’m terrible about rotating. I wear the same earrings, the same ring, the same necklace every day! I really need to get some fresh looks to my jewelry. I really don’t have very many pieces at all!

    Stefanie says:

Lately I’ve been wearing a gold name necklace my sister bought me for Xmas. Most people spell my name with a “ph,” so I wanted to wear my correct name. (It’s fancier than a name tag!) Sometimes I wear thick gold chains because I love rap. I also alternate with a jade horn necklace. I would love to add some bracelets to my collection, and these are delicate and lovely!

    jane says:

it’s not so much a rotation if you keep falling back on the same piece is it?

i wear a silver watch and teeny diamond studs most of the time, they both belonged to my mum (the latter being a gift from my grandpa to her) but i have since appropriated them for myself :p and when my throat is feeling a little too bare i’ll wear a tiny silver cross 🙂

My everyday must have is my wedding band.  I don’t have a rotation, so to speak.  I’m really loving gold jewellery right now, so most of my must wear pieces are gold!

A locket my brother gave me for Christmas, my wedding ring, and a silver pendent my parents got for me in Spain. I change based on if I’m wearing silver or gold hues that day…

    Jennifer says:

My only every day pieces of jewelry are me wedding bands and engagement ring. My husband gave me two bands when we got married and a third when we renewed our vows, so I can’t fit everything on my finger at once. I mix up what I wear depending on the day – only one band to yoga class, engagement ring if we are seeing friends, all three bands if I want to make a statement.

    Jen says:

My wedding band and a simple gold necklace with my daughters initials. I love simplicity and believe that a little goes a long way.

When I am feeling saucy I will wear my amber cocktail ring. : )

    Courtney J says:

My favorite everyday jewelry is my Italian charm bracelet (they were a fad about 6-7 years ago); the charms lay flat on the skin and they’re interchangable. I also love wearing this simple necklace that has a pearly silver heart and a small blue bead attached to it. It seems to look good with all of my shirts.

    Lindsay V. says:

My engagement ring and wedding band. I stopped wearing rings ages ago because my then-fiance (now husband) told me it made him sad when things distracted from the ring that he gave me.  He hardly ever says things like this, so I took it to heart!

    Caitlin D says:

I’m always wearing the claddagh ring my boyfriend of five and a half years gave me for our one-year anniversary. I tend to be pretty minimal with my other jewelry, rotating in and out a couple of special pieces. My current favorite is a gold initialed pendant I found in a shop while recently visiting a friend in San Francisco.

    Rosy says:

I always wear bracelets every day. Now I am mad about a tiny bracelet made of crocheted daisies I made myself and I have been wearing it for a month but I usually try to rotate my bracelets to best suit the colors of my outfit.

    Emma says:

What a beautiful giveaway! My everyday pieces are several macrame bracelets that I have either made myself or picked up on my travels. I have a small collection and rotate them depending on mood and outfit.

    Tina_R says:

My ever day piece is a watch*. A bracelet watch that I created, it has several strands of semiprecious and silver beads. I recently decided to add an additional strand that is a crystal bracelet my mom gave me.
That along with a topaz/sapphire (both our birthstones) ring will be in remembrance of her (I have a couple of other rings I always wear)
I also wear an inspirational charm bracelet that I made eight years ago (yeah) to wear during chemo treatments.
The above is never rotated…. however… earrings are a whole ‘nother matter. I have a large collection and daily rotate them.

    Tina_R says:

PS – whoops… forgot to explain the asterisk! Even though watches don’t seem to be popular anymore, this is something that I never go without. In fact my wrist feels naked whenever I don’t wear it! This particular watch (especially the bracelet portion) has become my trademark and is always noticed!

I wear rings, a bracelet and a necklace everyday: I really just go with what I’m wearing for my necklace and bracelet… I do have favorites, of course… Especially on days when I’m not feeling my best, my favorite jewelry can make me feel better.
