Giveaway :: Jenny Present

{shop :: Facebook :: Twitter}

Jenny Present had me at “when life gave her lemons, she made…jewelry.” If that isn’t serendipitous, I don’t know what is. Here at the BSP, we pride ourselves on finding the, well, bright side of daily life. We honor the good, we stand in the sun. We understand that life is all about balance but we operate from the belief that life is, in fact, beautiful. No matter what. And we love when we find artists that work from the same perspective. Further proof that we are all together in this big, messy, beautiful life.

Jenny Present turned her lemons into the sweetest lemonade I’ve ever tasted, that’s for sure. From chic necklaces made of delicate chains and significantly personal charms to earrings and bracelets, jenny present is on a mission to make every woman feel beautiful.

“My collections are meant to inspire and empower the women that wear them. I truly love what I do and hope that translates through the designs I create.”

My personal favorite is the bracelet pictured above. (Okay, the whole wrist. I want the whole, full wrist.) But let’s not forget the beautiful necklaces. This Original Proud Mama necklace is everything a necklace should be. It is simply….love.

Jenny Present is giving away one Lauren Wrap Bracelet to one lucky winner! To enter to win, please answer the following question no later than Thursday, March 28th. Comments now closed…good luck!

    I have a passion for finding better ways to improve mental, spiritual, physical and emotional health in a holistic way that promotes overall wellbeing. My dream is to have a profession and/or hobby that allows me to continue to uncover ways to improve overall health. That being said, I try to keep my blog updated with thoughts about doing just that. Furthermore, I work at a fitness center that promotes these same ideas about holistically pursuing health. On a more personal note, this passion allows me to discover innovative information almost daily — For example, I read a magazine article that really inspired me one day, and I emailed the researchers who were discussed in that article. Long story short, I got the opportunity to chat with them about their amazing research, and now I’m formulating ideas for my own research and professional/academic endeavors in public health school. There is true value in relentlessly pursuing your passions – the things that fuel you, that drive you. I sincerely believe that the recent events that are unfolding in my life are living proof of that fact!

    I went through several phases in my young life. I wanted to be a nurse, a teacher, a sign language instructor, a flight attendant. I discovered that what I really needed was to feel useful and to care for someone. My babies are the highlight and passion of my life and I am lucky to fulfill all of my dreams with them.

    My Passion is HAPPINESS! And yes- I try to live with that passion as often as possible. It is most often brought out by laughs and hugs with my family, good music and some good old fashioned fresh air and sunshine!

    My passion lives in the form of a quote from painter Cezanne: “Avec une pomme, je veux etonner Paris.” Which means, “With an apple, I will astonish Paris.” He wanted to paint something as recognizable and ordinary as an apple in such a way that people would see it anew. I seek to do the same thing in my personal and professional lives. And since I’m an advertising copywriter, I am living my dream – trying every day to make the masses see familiar brands and products in fresh, new, inspiring ways.

    I have a passion for beauty, I want everything to be pleasing to the eye, nothing useless or ugly, and I dream of creating beautiful things that add to other’s enjoyment of life too.  In my own small way I do and that pleases me.  Someday, when I figure out what I want to do when I grow up, I’ll figure out how that passion translates into some fabulous business.  Until then I will continue to find pleasure in other’s talents and creations and piddle along dabbling in hobbies and cleaning and “nesting” and making dinner look as appetizing as it tastes–and be happy to have the ability to recognize and appreciate beauty in the world around me!

    Suzi C says:

    I never had a ‘goal’ in my life. I wandered through life, lost, homeless (well not really ‘house’ less but home less), emotionally cold and deprived- hungry for love.

    I fell pregnant with my daughter at 18, I was – to be honest- shit scared. I was told my chances of having babies were slim due to Endo and PCOS. I knew she was my miracle.

    She’s my passion. My dream. The love I needed to bring me back to life- or to BRING me to life at all- was born the day she was; 08 09 10. Being my best self; so she is her best self. Loving her with every inch of my being, supporting her wee ventures, holding her hand…

    I could go on. But she is my dream and keeping her happy is fulfilling goals and hopes I never knew would exist.

    I’m a single mum, 22 next month, in NZ. I’m now determined to study and become a kick-ass Legal Secretary for family law. I have NEVER felt this passion before (apart from parenting). Knowing I’m capable of something like this is just surreal. I feel empowered!

    Aleta says:

    I’d say living life to the fullest. Discovering who I was created to be and living into it is a constant goal for me… and always a challenge! As I grow and change over the years so do my passions and I get to follow my heart into new worlds I never imagined finding myself in.

    Dreams change everyday once complete, like the wind blowing, then stopping, then howling in the other direction. I want to have new dreams, new goals every time one is complete – I do not want to be complacent in life. I want to move to a new city, which will be completed next month. I want to travel the world, which will be completed by the end of the year. Why just have one when you have the chance to live life to its fullest potential?

    My passion is sharing my love of music with children and I’m so there.  I’ve known I wanted to be a Suzuki violin teacher since I was 13 and I have been teaching children how to play violin for about 16 years.  My dream is to have my own family and to continue to share my love of music with children and their families.  I’m 2/3 of the way there…I am doing what I love doing career wise, I have a wonderful husband who is supportive of my teaching and music making and if I can get pregnant then I will have it all.  And if I can’t get pregnant then we will adopt a baby because one way or another we will have a baby.
    These lovely bracelets are awesome and I would LOVE to have one!

    My passion is to travel.  There is so much of this world to see and now that my husband and I are semi-retired we will have more time to do what we dream about doing.

    Heather N. says:

    My dream and passion is to keep traveling – not just to the places that are well marked on a map, but also to the unmarked places. To the tiny little islands of Indonesia, to the farming villages of Central America, to the rice plains of Thailand. There are SO many places that I still want to explore and experience.

    My passion is learning. I love to get excited about thinking in a new way. It sounds totally geeky, but I like to push my mind in different directions. School is a fun experience for me and I’m so excited to be going to law school in the fall. Some people call me a career student (I have 2 master’s degrees), but I don’t care. I love the person I evolve into every time I learn about something new.

We’re not there yet – pregnant with our first and counting down the next 14 or so months until quitting my job is a possibility. But we’re working toward the goal, and trying to make the most of our current situation in the meantime!
