Intentional. There is something about that word that is simultaneously frightening and freeing, don’t you think? The idea that we can dictate the ebb and flow of our decisions based on our intentions is somewhat daunting because it means we can’t be lazy. However, on the flip side, it means we can relax. Does that make sense? We can go about our day with less stress and more more love because we have our hearts and our minds focused on something greater. This type of living easily translates into everyday life as well. From the food we nourish our bodies with to the words we share with strangers and to the adornments we put on our bodies, our intention is everything.

Lovepray Jewelry is the brainchild of Carolina Elias in Calexico, CA. Lovepray Jewelry sells “carefully hand crafted jewelry made in the USA, made with natural materials, that is comfortable to wear, and perfect for the everyday at reasonable and fair prices. We use only fairly traded, cruelty-free materials with 100% of our suppliers located in the USA.” This is what I mean about intention, friends. Not only can you feel good about purchasing something from Lovepray Jewelry, you can look good as well. From gorgeous necklaces to bracelets and other goodies for men and women, there is something for everyone. Intentionally.

If I had read this question when I first woke up, I would say that my intention for the day would be to take it easy (Thursday’s are my easiest day from a schedule point of view), enjoy the evening with my husband and then watch the Sox take game 2 of the World Series. But my morning has been one annoyance after another and now my intention is to not burst into tears and to hold it together until I can leave work and go home and watch the Sox take game 2 of the World Series.

When I saw this post and thought of my answer I thought I should be honest with myself and embrace the fact that my morning has not started off great at all…needless to say I have just stumbled accross some very upsetting news! So my intent for the day may have  been swayed. I need to seek serenity, strength the kind that helps us look past the bad and foresee the good in everything no matter how difficult and to remind myself not to love things so much that can’t love you back and wrap my arms around the ones that mean the most to me. Embrace the love I have within and all that I have to share, to just live…to relax enjoy a laugh or two today and just BE! Embrace this day and know that practice makes progress and this life path has many stones still to upturned through this everyday journey….here’s to a better today and even better tomorrow! SS

Today my intention is to remember that there is a bigger plan, part of which I know and part of which I’ll never know. And to stay aware that as part of that plan I am exactly where I need to be right now, doing exactly what I am supposed to be doing. While the frustrations of the day can be distracting, they are no reason to bring anger into my life or those around me, and all of these things are routing me on the path to where I want to go. Easier said than done :) but it’s all about intention right?

The timing of this question is perfect for me.  Thank you.  Yesterday, when the question was asked (before I read it today), my five year old and I started something new and important in our lives.  We made a thankfulness wall in our hallway.  We put up beautiful pictures and blank pieces of paper that we’re going to write on when miracles happen.  Then, any time we need help being thankful or are stressed or sad, we can go to the wall and remember.  Starting today, we’ve been practicing starting and ending each day standing by the way and orally listing what we are thankful for.
Since I became a single mother at the loss of my partner 3 years ago, thankfulness has been a struggle.  Intention has become incredibly important to me in learning how to deal with loss.  At first I had no power over the sadness.  It’s been a long journey.  So getting to answer this question today MOVES me.  I’m so, so thankful today to be able to say: my intention was facing my reality and being able to articulate gratefulness for what I have and not what I lack.

Bless you in the work you to help others.

Today (28-10) is Labour Day here in NZ and it’s a public holiday although I’m working. Which is great, because I actually adore my job. I’ve been a stay at home mum for 3 years and I’ve now got a 20-hour-a-week job. It’s so nice to be ‘good’ at something that you never thought you could do. My intention for today is to do my job, and do it well. Then to come home and continue to raise my daughter :)

My anxiety has crippled me for so long and now I’m free.

I would adore the Chakra bracelet.

    Samantha S says:

My intention for today, and for the past few weeks, is to go out of my comfort zone. I’m starting a new life in a new town, and it’s easy to just go to the few places I know, hang out with the few friends I’ve made, and live life in that small, safe sphere. But I am trying to broaden my horizons and expand my world, and that might mean something as small as smiling at strangers, or something bigger like taking opportunities to meet new people or volunteering for a local project. My intention is to look for these opportunities, and take them.

My intention today is to forgive.  Yesterday, I was filled with anger and frustration with someone, but what happened, did.  It happened, and I cannot change the past, but I can change the future.  The next step I choose is to forgive, even if some cannot forgive themselves.

    Susie H. says:

What wonderful timing for this question. I’ve been struggling with a serious of issues in my personal life that feel like the weight of the world. My energy has been zapped and thus, my house is falling apart… Today I have a day off, a perfect day to catch up… and I feel the resentment and self-pity rushing in. YET. If I change my perspective, and choose to tidy this house *with intention*… it completely changes my mood! My intention today is, as I clean this house, to be grateful that I have a house (to clean), that I have a family (to pick up after), that I have a job again (that is eating away at my usual domestic time), that I have a passionate hobby (that leaves a mess around the house), and that I have a body, that while it might severely be compromised right now, is still able to move enough (to spend the day cleaning). THANK YOU for helping me to find the power that was always there. And thank you for creating such beautiful pieces of jewelry that, if you open up to them, truly do seem to communicate their own power.
