Giveaway :: Made by Nanna

Wednesday, March 28, 2012

I am a firm believer that the right bag can change everything. A bad day can turn good, a boring outfit can become a head turner and an otherwise inconsequential errand run can turn into something special. It’s not just about form and function; it’s about style. The right bag speaks volumes about who you are, who you want to be. Granted, there is the element of practicality and there is a time and a place for the perfect clutch, the petite handbag. But let’s talk about the day to day living and carrying on, shall we? Let’s talk hobo bags.

The right hobo bag is an essential. (That being said, the wrong hobo bag is aptly named. So let’s not forget good design.) Made by Nanna has perfected the hobo bag in a way that justifies my desire to own the entire line. Perfectly crafted to fit all of your essentials in one space, but not so large it feels like you’re carrying a suitcase, Made by Nanna bags are the type of bag you find yourself carrying absolutely everywhere. The Orange/Navy Blue Hobo is absolutely stunning and I actually gasped out loud when I saw it. (Am I the only one that does this?) Scroll through the beautiful collection of fabrics and patterns and find your own gasp. Then watch your day change.

    For some reason, I started to sing “I want to break free” by Queen, the other day and when I began to sing the verse that begins “I’ve fallen in love…I’ve fallen in love for the first time…” my 3 yo son’s face lit up with such joy and he begged me to sing it again. Did he think I was talking about him? Until that moment, it was just a random song that had popped into my head. Now it is ‘our’ special song and it makes me (and him) laugh with the sheer pleasure of being in each other’s company!

    Thanks for this lovely giveaway. The bag is awesome!

    I love any song that gets better when driving with the windows down. I love a good upbeat song while the wind whips my hair around and I can smile and bop around in my seat a little bit. “Blister in the Sun” by the Violent Femmes has been my stand-by over the years. I don’t listen to it all the time, but when it pops up on the radio I can’t help but grin ear to ear and start reminiscing to the peppy tune.

    Hall and Oates – You Make My Dreams Come True. Well, to be honest any Hall and Oates song tends to put me in a great mood. I love playing “You Make My Dreams Come True” in the morning in my apartment while getting ready for work. Good music really puts you in a good mood, and kicks off your day on the right foot!

    My favorite upbeat song right now is Flo Rida’s “Club can’t handle me.” It came out while I was pregnant, so I was not at all enjoying an active nightlife, but it just made me happy. Every time it came on the radio in the car, I turned it up. Baby enjoyed it; my hubby not so much. 🙂

    I do not have a favourite song. The song that can put me in a good mood is a song that I can together  with someone else, doesn’t matter the title or the author!
