{please visit Marigold and Sage here}

I have a bit of a fondness for bags of all varieties: hobo bags, clutches, shoulder bags, what have you. An arsenal of bags for every occasion is essential for “The Good Life.” How else are you going to carry around all of the accouterments that go along with such a lifestyle? Let’s be honest, if style didn’t mean anything, we would all be using grocery bags as purses. (Sidenote: no judgment. If you like grocery bags, we support your decision.) Do you ever find yourself perusing your collections of bags and thinking Hmmm, I’m missing something. Well, dear friends, we are here to help.

I am so excited to introduce you to Clara Lambert’s Marigold and Sage. With a line of exceptionally gorgeous handbags (my absolute favorite, the Luna Clutch Boho Ikat, is shown above!) as well as adorable baby shoes (yes, my tiny babe will be getting some of these), Lambert creates functional beauty. As she so perfectly states, “It is my intention to create beautiful details to enhance the lives of my amazing customers.” This, my friends, is the secret to living “The Good Life.” And Marigold and Sage has the accessories for the job.

Marigold and Sage is giving away a $40 gift certificate to their shop to one lucky winner! To enter to win, please answer the following question by Thursday, July 12th. Comments now closed…good luck!
If you were trapped on a deserted island, what three things (excluding animals and other humans) would you want with you?

    This is such a tough question. Eschewing the practical, perhaps my iPod, photographs of my loved ones and favorite places, and a very long book with wide margins (lots to read and space to write).

    My favourite edition of The Second Sex by Simone de Beauvoir, an extensive calculus textbook, and a good mechanical pencil.  Lots of time to think on Beauvoir’s words and scrawl my thoughts in the margin, and math problems to clear my mind and give me  a sense of purpose!

    If I was trapped on a deserted island.. I would take my camera, to capture my adventures. I would also take matches that will light even  while wet  (alot of them), and my kindle (with solar charger).

    This is a hard question but I would say a pot so I could cook and boil water.  A knife of some kind so I can cook,hunt,survive.  The last thing I would say would be a flint so I could start a nice big fire!!

    First would be food/water, and lots of it. Second would be an iPad with a solar charger, assuming I could pick up an Internet connection for entertainment (yeah, I know, if I had Internet I wouldn’t be stranded…let’s not get technical here) and third would be matches!
