Giveaway :: Mattie Luxe

Wednesday, June 6, 2012

We’ve already established that summertime is all about relaxing and entertaining, yes? Well, it’s also about details. Sure, anyone can throw together some food and hand out some plates but it takes that little something extra to really make the event. Getting together is not just about function, it’s also about form. This is where the fun lies, friends. From serving dishes to tableware, serving trays to placemats, each piece of the puzzle works together to create something grander than the sum of its parts. The details are the real star.

Mattie Luxe brings style to the table. Created by Andi Hrncir, Mattie Luxe started out as a small idea and turned into a thriving business that brings smiles to tables everywhere. Operating on the belief that every table should be hip and stylish, Mattie Luxe offers personalized placemats with your choice of a myriad of designs and both lucite and melamine trays that stand alone as modern and chic decor. These are perfect housewarming gifts, don’t you think? Even if it’s your house you want to warm.

    I have several theme songs. I went through a breakup this year so my songs currently are “I will survive” (Gloria Gaynor), “I gotta feeling” (Black Eyed Peas), and when I’m feeling a bit angry or rebellious, “Seven Nation Army” (White Stripes) and “Sabotage” (Beastie Boys). I have very varied tastes in music! 😀

    “Just Keep Breathing” by Ingrid Michaelson. It’s meant different things at different times. In my wedding I walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of it. The melody made me feel beautiful, helped me to pace myself and reminded me to breathe and remember each moment of our special day.
    Right now my family is going through a rough time, filled with anxiety for impending change. The song reminds me to breathe, and that today is just another day to take one step at a time.
