The weather is really starting to reflect the fact that we are headed into summer here in the western part of the US. I’m noticing kiddie pools, bbq menus, sweet summer fruit. All of my shoes are open toed and my arms are feeling the warmth of the sun on a pretty consistent basis. You know what this mean, friends. It means it is time to show off my favorite jewelry.

The opening day of the Farmer’s Market! All year, I wait for the organic, farm-fresh, delicious fruits and veggies that come with the season. My cooking brain ignites and my two boys and I wander around buying old favorites and new varieties. Oh, is there anything better than fresh, ripe fruits and veg? I submit there is not! Bless summer bounty!

two things mark the start of summer for me – breaking out the flowy dresses that for work and play just make me feel more relaxed! And, the switch in our farmshare from winter to summer veggies. Opening up that first box full of zucchini, summer squash and sweet corn after a winter of turnips, beets and kale just seem so bright!
