Figuring out what to wear on Thanksgiving is always a bit of a no brainer. With the abundance of delicious home-cooked food in my future, I plan for comfort and ease. This isn’t to say I give up completely on feeling good. Rather, I let my clothing be the neutral and my accessories be the star. Thanksgiving is all about jewelry, ya’ll. Grab your coziest jersey dress and drape and warm sweater around you and let your radiance shine on your neck, your wrists, your ears. Play it simple and let the family, food, and fun take center stage.

Mordakk Designs is the kind of jewelry that accentuates beauty by enhancing the simple glamour abundant all around us. Inspired by natural elements, Nicole Gueft adds a sophisticated aesthetic that elevates each piece from simple adornment to unabashed celebration. These are the types of pieces that you wear when you want to feel like the best version of yourself possible. This Black Rutilated Quartz Necklace? I’m pretty sure my best version looks exactly like this. Abundantly.

Mordakk Designs is giving away one White Druzy Necklace in 14k gold AND one Chain Infinity Ring in Gold to one lucky winner! To enter to win, please answer the following question no later than Wednesday, November 28th. Comments now closed…good luck!

most people think that i’m an optimistic person who’s outgoing and happy, but actually i’m quite an introvert who treasures my quiet moments, and who doesn’t mind being alone. and i’m really quite pessimistic about most things but i’m always encouraging others because i understand how negative and depressing it is to be pessimistic (since i do feel rather down when i’m seeing everything in a negative light) and thus don’t want others to feel the same way. (the question is: does that make me optimistic instead? :|)

I’m always complimented on my style and how I dress myself (I’m very curvy and short). But most people don’t know that I have no idea what I’m doing and I just wing an outfit and hope for the best. 9 times out of 10 it works and I’m always happily surprised!

Since I had my baby 2 months ago I feel different… I am more happy than I have ever been. But nobody knows that I feel like I have lost all attractiveness and freedom. Sometimes I just wish my husband would tell me how much he appreciated me and tell me how great I look since I lost all the weight.

That I’m strong-willed and determined. I tend to shy away from crowds and I don’t speak my mind too often. This often gives the impression that I am very conservative or dependent. Within the last 4 years though, I moved from Asia to the US and from the US to Canada; made career changes; learned to support myself and started supporting the parents & siblings. Oh and I’m in my early 20s 🙂

You’d never guess it, but I was stalked for several years by an ex-colleague. Some of the scariest days of my life – which I survived with the help of my family. I don’t bring it up if I can help it, yet every time I see a car parked outside my house for too long, my heart stops beating and my blood freezes in my veins. Hopefully, the obsession with me has passed and we can all go on and live our lives in peace.

Most people don’t know that for a long time I struggled with food, i wasn’t eating very little on purpose, I just believed I wasn’t hungry. I’ve always been really thin but when I was weighed at the doctor’s, I was a level 1 when I should have been at five. Looking back on it now I realize that it was mostly caused by the fact that I always preferred under-eating to over-eating because under-eating, while not making me feel great, hurt less then a full on stomachache. I have recovered now and am at a healthy weight but I don’t tell people this.

Most people don’t know “my story.” I moved across the country as a single mom and started my PhD about 16 months ago – and for the first time in my life, everything wasn’t an open book. No one except my two closest friends here know that I was married for seven years, that my husband left my daughter and I when she was 1, that…drama…drama…drama. It’s been an amazing challenge for me. Life gave me something I couldn’t plan or control. I haven’t been able to make myself look good. So, since I look very young, most people think I got pregnant in high school. Most people don’t know much about my life. It’s made me a more gracious lady. God only knows what I don’t know about them.

    Tiffany says:

This one has been a tough question for me. I kind of feel like I’m an open book. So I consulted my “Soul Friend” who knows everything about me. I asked her “what is the one thing that surprised you the most about me?”. Her answer was that I wanted to go to the University of Michigan for college. And actually, now that she said that it makes sense. I’m a family gal, I like to be by the side of my loved ones at all times, and I live in Washington state. So for me to apply to and hope to get into a college far away from my loved ones is a bit surprising. It turns out that I never went to Michigan. In fact, that was the only school I didn’t get accepted to. It’s almost like my maker knew I shouldn’t leave home.

    Kate B says:

Most people don’t know that calling people I haven’t met is really difficult for me. Planning my wedding was a nightmare, I had to coach myself into making every call to every vendor. When I had to call and contest a credit card bill, I was a mess! Only my best friend gets how anxious it makes me and she’s usually there on chat, encouraging me to do it when I have to call someone for work.

    Erin says:

Most people don’t know how much I am moved by and drawn into art – whether it be music, writing, dance, paintings or anything artistic. The face that another person was able to create something so beautiful always gets to me, and puts me in awe of the things that all of us can do if we put our mind to it!
