{website :: shop :: Facebook}

It’s one thing to dress well. It’s quite another to dress with a conscious. So often we don’t think about where our clothes come from, aside from the shop we just walked out of. But what about the makers, the textiles, the designs? From start to finish, knowing who and where your fashion comes from inspires connection and awareness.

Osei-Duro is the socially responsible clothing line of Molly Keogh and Maryanne Mathias. Based in Los Angeles and Ghana, these ladies work with local Ghanaian artisans and garment workers to marry vibrant textiles with Western design. Let me tell your, friends, these are the kinds of clothes I wish I could design. From the fabric choices to the gorgeous silhouettes, Osei-Duro is the perfect answer for stepping into spring with not only a fresh new look, but a fresh new outlook on how fashion fits into your life.

Osei-Duro is giving away a $40 gift certificate to their shop to one lucky reader! To enter to win, please answer the following question no later than Thursday, April 11th. Comments now closed…good luck!

    I love gingham, and I feel it’s getting a bad wrap lately because of pop culture association. I love how it just looks whole some and clean, and reminds me of a picnic and the 50’s all at the same time.
    I think it’s going to come back big really soon. It just screams summer.

    This might sound weird, but I love the cute pregnant mom trend! I’m actually really inspired by maternity clothes!! I am hoping to become pregnant this fall, and love that there are clothes to dress up your belly, not hide it under a tent. how lucky am I that I live in a time when dressing during pregnancy will be fun! I can’t wait for all the pretty things I will be able to wear while incubating!

    It might not be a new trend, but I always like wearing scarves. Winter woolens or a gauzy pop of color depending on the season. A scarf can take me from plain to polished more easily than any other one item- simplicity!

    I love that so many styles are perfectly acceptable these days. Eccentricity is welcome. However, one specific trend I like for the fellas is that pants are getting better-tailored. Baggy and pleated is no more. Huzzah!
