{please visit Pikula Bags here}

One of the greatest pastimes of my youth was rifling through my mom’s purse. Most specifically, her wallet held the most allure. It was like unlocking a treasure chest from a pirate ship, full of important documents and weathered photos and gum wrappers and receipts from what was, surely, an epic afternoon at the drugstore. I would take each item out, fingering one thing after the other gently and methodically, and reorganize the whole shebang. (I still can’t believe she let me do this repeatedly, although I’m sure it was more to keep me quiet than anything else!) To this day, I have a borderline obsessive fascination with wallets and struggle constantly with finding the perfect fit.

Pikula Bags has become my new benchmark for the perfectly designed wallet (and handbag). Maja Yogev handcrafts stunning bags, clutches and wallets from top to bottom. Yogev’s impeccable aesthetic invokes a vintage feel with a modern edge and each piece is the type that stands the test of time through trends and mass market over-saturation. From the gorgeous and functional large bags (this grey number is divine!) to the clutch frame wallets, every single one of these pieces is designed to become a staple of your wardrobe. Besides, look at the way the sun shimmers when you’re holding one of these bags. We all deserve a bag that makes us shine.

    I would say the greatest treasure I have in my wallet is a little note I have from my Dad when I first left home. It’s very sweet. : )

    The greatest treasure hiding in my wallet is a single yen I keep mixed in with the rest of my coins. Every time I come across it, it reminds me of a wonderful trip I took years ago 🙂

    A few years ago, I was applying for a home loan.  When I went into my wallet to get my ID, I saw a Las Vegas hotel key card, illustrated with a magician and a scantily-clad Pamela Anderson!  The loan officer was very confused by my hysterical laughter.  To this day, none of my friends will admit to putting this card in my wallet, but I keep it in there because it never fails to make me laugh.

    My co-workers tend to give me all of the  non-fortune like, random fortunes from their fortune cookies from their lunches – I keep them in my wallet and pull them out from time to time and just blurt out a random “fortune” and everyone laughs.
