I spend so much time in work garb that sometimes I feel I have lost any style I ever had. I tend to like soft flowly kind of clothes that are more muted and elegant. longer tops. I go mostly for great fabrics and colors first. I’m a red head and I like to pick colors that make me look better! (like soft greens, oatmeal etc)

My personal style is in process–I like things that are pretty, and sexy, and even a little edgy too!  I enjoy finding clothes and accessories that I want to wear and feel good in.  Shopping, tweaking items, and editing my closet are continually part of the process. I put a lot of energy into finding items with the right “lines” and proportion for my body, texture and the way something feels is just as important as how it looks and lays on my body.  My favorite things are a little different and look more like boutique items than department store finds.

i would say that my style is classic but with minor twists/accents to make it less normal and more unconventional. for example i like blouses that aren’t completely symmetrical, unconventional watches (i have one which basically clamps on your wrist from the side, leaving the other side open… wish i could take a picture!), but i’ve increasingly been including more handmade items in what i wear, they seem to give a more personal and quirky touch to an otherwise clean but basic outfit. i guess it says that i like order and neatness in my life but i secretly have a streak of quirk to balance it all out!

My style is versatile.  I am careful with my money when it comes to buying clothes, so I love it when I get pieces that I can wear casually while running errands or dress them up to go to work.

My personal style has changed a lot – from preppy to trendy to ahead-of-the-curve. But as I mature, I think I’ve developed a more refined style and sensibility. You could call it basic, or clean, or minimalist, but I like to call it “me”, because I’ve learned only to buy and keep pieces that I’ll love and wear again and again.

My personal style would be classic when I dress up and more sporty when I am casual. I love polka dots and ruffles and so if you can imagine combining them with sporty type clothes that is what I for in a day to day look – but when i get dressed up it is usually a classic vintage.

Classic and trendy…but not Vogue-worthy. I won’t go out of my way to follow a trend just because it’s s a trend!

My personal style is… retro dresses everyday.  It says about me:  I long for days gone by!  My mom is a seamstress!  I love to dress up!  I love having a waist!  🙂

My style is a little bit of everything and doesn’t always go together or make sense. But I guess that shows that I do what I feel regardless about what other people will think.

    Samantha S says:

Grad student chic. It hasn’t made it into the pages of Vogue just yet, but can be identified on the street by a reliance on cardigans and casual blazers, fairly sensible shoes, thick-rimmed glasses, and interesting jewelry, complemented by one or more functional and heavy bags.

Where to begin?  I like to dress moderateish.  I don’t like to show much, but then I don’t like to show too little.  Very stylish.  I’m always looking on Pinterest for new ways to wear current clothes in my closet.  I love love love my chambray.  Fall/winter is my favorite season to bundle and layer clothes.  Hat and scarves are a must.  Jewelry is my favorite accessory.  I have a plate bar necklace which is very small and just enough.  I wear lace project beaded bracelets and a few rings.

Summer is next best season for all the fun wedges and sandals that I get to mix and match with outfits.  Trendy but with my own little splash of personality.  I love bright colors to make a statement and enjoy dressing up just a pair of shorts with the perfect pair of shoes and jewelry.

I love my style and get complimented a lot for my outfit choices.  Trendy, flirty, casual but cute.

Usually I wear a long or medium sleeved shirt, jeans, boots, my lucky scarf, sometimes some jewelry, but I ALWAYS wear my Virgo necklace 😀 I always carry my handy messenger bag which has everything in it. I like sunglasses a lot too, especially when the sun comes out and there’s snow on the ground,so bright! So I guess I’m practical but kinda stylish lol.

I would have to say that I am currently in a style transition. I grew up being taught to always dress where everything matches perfectly. So so so boring. I’m talking basic color shirts and jeans, and that was it. A few years ago my husband was killed in Afghanistan and I decided to shake up my life. And yes I believe that your style is one of the simplest ways to start changing your life. My style has been an ongoing evolution, if you will, for quite some time now. I am finally at a place where I know what I like. I love patterns and leather and gold. I love bling and sneakers and skinny jeans. I love vests and ponchos and sweaters. I love bright vibrant colors as well as my basic blacks. My style I would say represents the maturity that I have been thrown into the past few years. My style is something I feel very accomplished about. I can be ready to play in the yard with my five boys one minute, and completely decked out for date night the next. I guess my style would be labeled as an ongoing project that I am ok with changing as life changes.

I’d say ‘anything goes’ describes my style. And it says that I shop mostly at thrift stores and have become less particular and more wild with what I wear.

I would describe my style as modern and fun!  I like getting pieces that are flattering and most importantly, comfortable.  I rarely shop for myself anymore, but it’s always a treat to get something!

    Rose V. says:

I don’t necessarily have a personal style, per se.  I generally wear clothes that fit well and are flattering to my body shape.  I like for an outfit to make me feel confident and show my personality which is fun and optimistic. I have certain pieces of clothing, shoes, and accessories that are my favorite and I wear often. I also tend to dress to my mood.  If I’m not feeling well, I dress in loose and comforting clothes. But if I’m in a good mood, the clothes get more form fitting and the heels come out to play!

I would describe my style as feminine/athletic/casual. I’m guessing it either says I don’t know what I like, or I’m confused 🙂

Unfortunately I wear the “mom uniform” all too often. Yoga pants or jeans and a tshirt day after day. I could really use a new addition to get me out of this rut!

    Carolyn says:

Relaxed but modern librarian. I love loose-fitting tees and sneakers with sharp blazers and geometric jewelry, bold nails and cateye or thick-rimmed glasses.

    Donna F. says:

My personal style is a reflection of how I feel and of the person I want to be for that day.  Some days, I feel relaxed and casual and wear a boho chic look. Other days,  I wear statement jewelry if I feel like making an impact in some way.  And others, I dress a little edgy when I feel empowered.  Regardless of the day, I dress in whatever makes me feel amazing!

    Laura says:

I have a true island style. All of my clothes are comfortable and casual, bright and beachy. I’ve never been the type of girl to follow trends in the media. I accessorize my lax style with jewelry and have a large collection of baubles and watches. I just ordered a few beachy blankets from Reverie and really dig their original and comfy style too.

  23. 23
    Amie A says:

I wear classic styled that suit my body type in lieu of following trends.  I find that most of my dresses can be worn on any occasion, meaning I can go straight from work to a romantic date or even a cocktail party by just adding/subtracting layers and accessories.  It gives me a sense of confidence and stability to know that my wardrobe is versatile to my standards and makes me feel glamorous always.

    Ellia says:

Would it be hokey to say that my personal style is not something I can explain because it doesn’t fit into in any boxes?  I once heard a woman say that if you didn’t dress like other people, you could think in different ways.  I love that idea.  I wear whatever I want – generally I’m drawn toward bright colors and/or black/white/greys, clean and long lines.  I mix patterns.  I make a lot of my things.  So I guess I would say my personal style is ME.  And what it says about me is ….me?  🙂

I’m striving for simplicity. Clean lines. Bold colors. Items that fit my post-birth body without any fussiness. I’m a mom of three boys, but I always want to look put together and take attention to detail. What this says about me is that I care about myself enough to make the effort.

PS. I love the Indy top so much I could marry it. Not fussy, bold, sassy, and no layering required. Perfect top for where i am in my life right now.

I think fashion should be fun. My style is comfortable, chic, and eclectic. I love pairing pretty vintage dresses with edgy, studded boots. My go to maybe novelty prints under a classic cardigan. My favorite is picking the perfect accessories, may it be a pendant necklace, scarf, or kimono to layer over a white tshirt and blue jeans. I love a white tshirt and blue jeans. It is the perfect casual and comfortable pairing and it creates my favorite canvas for additions such as red wooden heeled sandals, a top knot and a tassel scarf, or a linen boyfriend blazer with a long pendant necklace.

    Jenni says:

I would give anything to say my style is comfy and chic with a hint of sparkle nail polish, but instead its shift dresses and heels. Sure, I love dressing up nice, but when you have to do it everyday it gets a little exhausting (and a law firm is no place for sparkle polish 🙁 )
