{please visit Roberta Chiarella here}

Springing into fall is a bit of a statement, don’t you think? It is a way of living that has purpose, that isn’t afraid to be seen. What better way to honor the season than with statement jewelry. There is such a simplicity with statement jewelry. (As long as it is done right.) Take one main piece and build your look around it. Let the piece speak for you. Let it shine. The key is to remember that only one statement piece is necessary at a time. And to search until you find that one piece that absolutely grabs you.

Roberta Chiarella has grabbed me. Chiarella is a talented designer who turned her jewelry making hobby into a lifestyle. When you wear a Roberta Chiarella piece you are making a statement. You are telling the world that you understand beauty, that you live in joy, that you celebrate yourself. The Layered Necklace (pictured above) is a personal favorite. Paired with a slim white tee and jeans or the perfect little black dress, you can’t go wrong with this piece. Make a statement this season without saying a word. Let Roberta Chiarella speak for you.

Roberta Chiarella is giving away three (3!) Layered Necklaces to three lucky winners (one each)! To enter to win, please answer the following question by Wednesday, October 24th. Comments now closed…good luck!

What would the theme song for your life be?

Start checking the winner’s box on Monday, October 29th, to see if you’ve won!

Wilco’s songs often speak to me; there’s a depth and a beautiful poetry there, even to the sad ones. But the one that speaks most to my life is lead singer Jeff Tweedy’s duet with Feist: “You and I”. It is a metaphor for the life my life partner, my husband of 30 years, and I lead together. Always together…through the good times and the bad. And it makes me smile!

    Is ours
    And love, as a philosophy
    Is simple …”

    Simple, by kd lang

It was the song I dance with my husband to at our wedding and I’ve long loved the message … life is this struggle, honestly, but it’s beautiful and love, as a philosophy, IS simple and if I can just hold onto that message, that sentiment, with all my relationships and with everything in life, I’m calmed.

    Somewhere over the rainbow
    Skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream
    Really do come true.

Someday I’ll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far
    Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
    Away above the chimney tops
    That’s where you’ll find me.

I struggle with depression & I can often be found daydreaming about better days, this song is a great summary of how I feel – try to keep a positive outlook for the future even on days when I don’t feel like I can go another day.
