Last night while playing “chase” with my toddler. I hide around the corner and jump out when I hear him coming. He can do it 100 times is a row and still squeal and act surprised. His laughs are very infectious and we are two big goof balls together.

Gosh I hope I can share this…My sister was over with  my nephew..he is 3..and my daughter who is  3 1/2 were playing outside. They  were filthy from head to toe..so off to a bath they went. My sister and myself are sitting in the bathroom with them as they are playing with toys…When my daughter screamed  ” “Mommy….look Matthew has a ponytail..now run mommy and get him a bow”.. Well needless to say my sister and I were doubled over in hysterics.

Last weekend at the mall, I saw a baby girl in a pram who accidentally dropped the pacifier she was sucking. Her brother who was around 4 years old, picked it up from the floor and sucked it. Instead of giving it back to her, he put it in his mouth! It was hilarious!

Last night! My boyfriend and I went to King Curling at the Minneapolis International Film festival and we both laughed hysterically until we cried. The greatest thing about the night was that we were going to skip the movie because I was exhausted from a difficult day at work. By the time the movie was over, my outlook changed completely. A good laugh is always a cure to a trying day in the office.

Last week I stumbled upon a video my seven year old daughter had recorded of herself in one of our earliest days in our new nest. Mind you, i was in the background unpacking the toys etc in the next room, oblivious to her webcam home video. From beat boxing to dancing, telling jokes & popping bubble wrap she was thoroughly entertaining. It was a hilarious surprise find.

The last time I laughed uncontrollably was last weekend. My roommate and I have been best friends since first grade, and both of us grew up as the middle child between two brothers. We’re the best friends and best sisters we’ve got! Last weekend, after a particularly stressful week for both of us and after she returned from work-related travelling, we ate a bunch of candy and got really hyper and blasted music in our apartment, dancing and jumping around like maniacs. We had such giggle fits that we both ended up sprawled on the floor, doubled over and laughing about how much our cheeks hurt from laughing so much. We let loose in the best of ways, and I don’t know what I’d do without her!

My co-workers and I get really goofy some days. We tend to have impromptu dance parties or stand-up comedy routines for about 2 minutes then go back to work. We play the “meow” game with our customers (how many times in one phone call can you say “meow” without the other person catching on); the best moment was a couple months ago when my co-worker started the game with a customer he was talking to and actually began incorporating “meow” into words. We laughed and cheered him on until he put the customer on speaker and revealed that the customer was responding to him using “meow” in her words just like he did…we just died! Some of us were literally rolling on the floor laughing. Everyone had tears in their eyes from the insane laughter that ensued.

THAT was an awesome day 🙂

My 3yo is the main cause of our giggles these days. His take on the world is fabulous and makes me want to see the world through the eyes of a child again. For example:
    M: What do lions eat?
    Me: Other animals.
    M: No, No (getting upset).
Me: Well, what do they eat?
    M: Vegetables!
Me: Really? (news to me) What kind of vegetables?
M: (thinks for a moment) Prawns!

It was hysterical, that moment of my realizing that prawns were veggies. Who knew?

And yes, the other fave dish of lions is … cheese.

Any time with my husband, he is a delight to be around. We usually collapse in fits of laughter whenever we’re around each other.
For example, this morning while getting ready I was being rather noisy. Which woke him up multiple times (easy to do in a tiny studio apartment!) I started apologizing (it was 2 hours before he had to be up). And he told me: “Don’t worry, you didn’t realize, but I set you as my alarm clock last night”
