I wear my heart on my sleeve. I navigate this world with my heart first, always. To this end, I have always believed that style is merely a reflection of our hearts and the clothes and jewelry and other adornments we choose to put on every day show aspects of this to others. I know that when I am feeling down or stressed, I tend to wear my favorite pieces, the comfort clothes. When I feel the most alive, I wear something bold, aggressive, noticeable. Jewelry, especially, is great for this. The pieces we choose in the morning tend to reflect the way we see ourselves and wear our heart lies.

Miguez Tabora wears her creativity on her sleeve and then sends it out into the world for us to enjoy. Running a photography business and jewelry line side by side, Tabora’s SHOP MIGUEZ  offers gorgeous hand-stamped jewelry that allows you to wear your heart wherever you want. From necklaces to key chains, you can personalize your adornments in any you want while maintaining your intentions. I’m besotted with the SHOP MIGUEZ key chains and think I must might have my holiday gifts already planned out. Because, as your heart will tell you, when you know…you know.

I love to wander in the yard, pull a week or 50 and then go collect eggs from my chicken house. I love the name necklace. I have 3 little grandboys and I would put their names on the charms.

I like to sit outside on the deck and watch the birds at my bird feeder. Hiaving a fresh cup of coffee or glass of wine just makes it perfect

Depends on the weather. If it’s nasty outside I’m zoning out in front of the TV and snuggling up with the miniature Lion that lives with us. If it’s nice out, I’m going for a run and jamming to some happy music.

I like to cook a spicy dinner and hang out with my husband. Perhaps with a glass of wine. I usually go for the cheaper varieties but, after a long day, I’d probably want to go for a nicer, local bottle of wine. Spicy food + good company + a little wine is a great way to unwind.

I may be strange, but I find cleaning the house to be a nice way to unwind. If it was a particularly bad day, however, I’d prefer sitting on the back deck with a glass of wine.

Usually, changing into yoga pants, making a dinner with more than 2 steps, and laying on the couch to chat with faraway friends will do it.

A good hour of restorative yoga with dim lights and chill music is the main thing I look forward to at the end of a long day.  It leaves me feeling grounded, and refreshed…and ready to tackle the next challenge.

If I can find a few minutes at the end of a long and crazy day to knit a few rows then I feel like my day is pretty well rounded. Knitting just helps me calm down….and wine. Never forget the wine.

A cup of tea… I started drinking Vanilla tea and it is so smooth and comforting. – I also add a little cream as well. I relax just thinking about it. =)

when i was on my study abroad program, my favorite way to unwind was with a hot cup of tea or hot chocolate, just chilling out with my housemates and chatting with them about how our day has been. the drinks were such a treat especially since it was winter. hot drinks aren’t really that comforting now that i’m home, where it’s hot and humid, and i really miss my housemates dearly. (if i do win i’d like one of my housemates to get the prize since i’m not a us resident!)

After a long day I like.to unwind and relax.by spending quality time with my son. He recently turned five and spreads sunshine wherever he goes. He.definitely is the light of my life. We love to be outdoors. We usually get a blanket and sit in our backyard and paint/color on canvas or play legos LoL. This is such a great age to see.your.child really turn into the person they are going to be. He is already starting to.do.things his own way instead of following others. There is just something about the wonder and curiosity of a child that makes my heart smile and helps me relax after a long day. 🙂

I am mother to 3 wild boys and by the end of the day, I am exhausted and want to crawl into a hole (a very very quiet, soft hole), and just melt for awhile. I don’t have a hole in my house, so the couch works for now. Maybe I’ll get a burrow someday, but alas! After I’ve had a few minutes to regroup, I love to sit with my husband and knit. So much of what I do during the day is undone the next. The laundry, the cleaning, the food preparation. It’s so lovely to have something that is not undone the next moment, something that will last and will warm the small bodies of my children. Something that is soft and moves through my hands like rhythmically falling water.

After a long day there is only one way for this girl to feel relaxed and that is in a hammock with a piping hot cup of tea and a warm fire crackling a few feet from me. There truly is no better moment than watching the sky change from light to dark and see the stars make their appearance.
