{please visit Spunky Fluff here}

We all have our little mantras that speak to us. Be it a song lyric, a phrase, a mantra…everyone has something that helps them carry their sunshine throughout the day. I have different examples of this sprinkled throughout my own home. From the vintage maps to the “A Beautiful Thing Is Never Perfect” print hanging on the fridge, our walls are decorated with pieces of our hearts so that we remember to stay true to ourselves. There is a light that belongs to such reminders. Much like sunshine.

Spunky Fluff owner and designer Kristen Bangs creates gorgeous little reminders for the world to enjoy. Each custom sign is a reflection of the entire philosophy behind The Bright Side Project: that life is (still) beautiful. Personally, I am uplifted by any typographical reference (you can see my favorites in the top photo!) and that second sign is something that should hang in every woman’s restroom, don’t you think? I could get used to reading that to myself every morning. Even now, reading it made me smile. Try it. “You are beautiful. Yes, you.” Now tell me your smile isn’t as bright as the sun.

Spunky Fluff is giving away one custom designed sign to one lucky winner! To enter to win, please answer the following question by Wednesday, June 27th. Comments now closed…good luck!

    “Quiero hacer contigo lo que la primavera hace con los cerezos” which means I want to do to you what the spring does to the cherry trees. The spring makes the winter barren cherry tree rise to it’s full beautiful glory. What is more lovely than a cherry tree in spring?

    I would get something for the dock, something like “River’s Edge Hideaway” or “Salties & Lakers Crossing”.

    If I was going to get one for my bedroom thought I’d have it say, “Traveller, there is no path; paths are made by walking”.

    My husband is in the midst of examining his career path and deciding if it is right for him and if not, what he would like his career to look like. If I were to win this, I would make a sign that uses Thoreau’s quote “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams!” Not only am I exceedingly proud of him for being the kind of person who meditates on his life and impact on others and support him in his decisions, but when we have kids someday, I would like them to also absorb that message. We shall be a family of dreamers and cheer each other along the way.

    Oh I love these! My sign would say “You can do this”. or “You are strong”.

    It would be something inspiring for my classroom — a quote that reminds teenagers to be curious, creative, and true to themselves. Or it could just be the word “Why?” to remind them to question and learn.

    Oh man, I was looking for a big quote sign last week, and now I can’t remember what quote I wanted! Maybe “Always Kiss Me Goodnight” to put over the bed!

    Maybe our family name. I really like the phrase on the signs “let her sleep, for when she wakes she will move mountains” I love to sleep in so it’s very fitting.
