{shop :: Facebook :: Twitter}

There are times when we need to be reminded to love ourselves. For me, I find that one of the simplest ways to do this is to find a talisman of sorts, a tangible object you can carry throughout your day to make you feel more settled in your skin on those days when you really want to crawl out of it. Lately my piece has been a simple silver ring that I stack behind my wedding ring. It makes me feel more married, if that makes sense. And if it doesn’t, that’s okay, too. Because it only has to make sense to me. Surely you have these pieces in your collection. If you don’t, I suggest finding one asap.

Tilly Doro should be your first stop. Nogah Rotstein creates eco-conscious jewelry from a place of love and joy. These pieces hold magic in their grasp. There are stories wrapped up in the chains, history in the found objects, intention in the design. This Chunky Necklace and this Delicate Diamond Bracelet are the perfect additions to my collection of favorite pieces that I will find myself reaching for on those mornings when I need to remember how to feel like myself again. What Tilly Doro pieces speak to you?

What a great question! I feel most like myself in something classic and comfortable and that fits well – most likely jeans and a white button down. Something that never goes out of style!

Lately, my work out clothes! I made a lifestyle change back in February and altered to a life of clean eating. Over the months i’ve slowly added in the gym and i’m now at full force. I find that nothing is better than going home, throwing off my workclothes and slipping on something to move and run in. I just love it! …although, if you ask me this question again in about 2 months, I think I might have to alter it to include all of the warm fuzzy sweatshirts and lounge clothes that I just adore to drape myself in when it gets crisp and cool outside!

I love wearing a pair jeans or leggings and a t-shirt.

I just love no fuss clothes that are easy to slip on and off.

I feel most like myself when I wear light, casual cotton dresses that hit at the knee!  (I love the British designer Emily and Fin for these kind of dresses.) Growing up, my mom made ALL of my clothes and I wore a dress to school EVERY DAY until I was in 6th grade, when I swapped some purple jeans into the rotation.  (It was the early 90s!)  Wearing these clothes reminds me of my youth, of my family, of the spirit of joy I experienced as a girl.

Pajamas. I wish lived in a world where it was acceptable to wear pajamas for everything.

I’m most comfortable when I’m wearing something casual; most likely jeans and a worn-in t shirt.  But the things that make me feel most like “me” are my wedding ring and the silver bracelet my mom gave me on my 16th birthday; if I don’t have them on I feel lost.

When I was a kid I refused to wear dresses. I insisted on pants. I know it broke my moms heart because she loved to dress me up. So today you’d think that stubborn girl would still prefer her jeans and t-shirts, but surprise! I feel most like myself in dresses. I do however throw in my tom boy style by wearing those dresses with rugged boots as often as I can.

I feel most like myself when I am wearing my favorite bloodmilk necklace. Each piece she makes has a story behind it, – a deeper meaning. And this special necklace’s meaning is one that I can connect with.

    Nikki says:

I feel most like myself in something feminine and pretty, and soft.  Texture is extremely important, and so is good fit–no messing with waistbands or having to adjust my clothes. Definitely jewelry, that’s the most important part.  Jewelry not only makes me feel pretty, it expresses style and personality! No makeup except mascara–i like it for looking nice, but i feel most comfortable in my skin without it.

    Kelly McCormick says:

A swimsuit and the water. Not, like, a skimpy bikini per se. Just a swim suit. A speedo, perhaps. I feel like I belong living underwater, like a fish or a dolphin or, more perfectly, a mermaid. I love the feeling of water moving past me, or rather, me moving through it.

    Trisha says:

A wrap dress with compression shorts underneath in case I want to hop on my bike or go adventuring.

I’m always in yoga pants and a tank. Nothing is more comfortable to me. I can lounge at home or go out and run errands, all while being able to move comfortably. I’m sure my husband is tired of seeing me in yoga pants all the time but I just can’t help it. They can be dressed down or up and there are a variety of styles to make it fun!

while i turn to jeans most of the time (it’s the easiest option), i think the outfit that best represents me is a maxi dress/maxi skirt and t shirt. fuss-free yet feminine without trying too hard 🙂

    Madeline says:

Color! If it doesn’t have color, then it’s not me. I also really like my polka dot converse. I’ve only had them for a year, but I feel like they were with me through my teens. They just feel like a pair of shoes that have seen me through some stuff, you know?

    Mikki W says:

I feel most like myself when I am wearing clothing that reflects my personality and accessories that represent my life. It could be a Texas Tech shirt on a Saturday in the fall, a puzzle piece ring, or a bracelet of my grandmothers.

    Sparrow says:

Frankly, I feel most like myself when I am dressed up and looking my best. I love to wear sweats around the house, but if I stay in that garb for more than an hour in the morning, I start to get antsy. I like to look put together and it helps me to feel put together.

  35. 35
    Anna L says:

What I wear when I feel the most like myself is a comfy tee and shorts.  Clothes that I wear right as I fall asleep, clothes that I wear as I lounge around the house alone.  These are clothes that I wear when I’m most vulnerable, where I can be every emotion that I am.  It is when all my make-up and layers are stripped, and all I have are the clothes I’m wearing.

I love this question! Going to a Fashion School has really opened my eyes into the industry and living in Los Angeles has also helped me perceive different senses of ‘style’. I have finally found my ‘style’ after searching for all of these years! I love comfort! Now I am not talking about sweatpants and baggy t-shirts here, (although, I often do love to indulge in this duo when I am in the comfort of my own home) I am talking about stylish comfort. I love the oversized shirts that are in right now! I also need to have my cute cat-eye prescription glasses or I just don’t feel like myself, and not because I can’t see lol! <3

I have a ring that has a Montana Moss agate, in a stretched oval shape that I wear.  I have been wearing it for the past 40 years.  It was made by my grandfather, given to my dad, then given to my mother.  I took it from my mother’s jewelry box when I was 16.  I have been wearing it ever since.  It is me.

I feel best when I know my clothing comes from an ethically production line. I do my best to buy products made in country – or with ethical material.

I feel awesome in my  cotton black dress today!
