For my son’s first birthday, we created a time capsule. We asked our friends and family to write down any significant event that occurred in the first year of his life so that, in thirty years, he would have a picture of what the world was like the first year he was alive. My first thought for the capsule was the Mars Rover landing because, well, that’s a pretty gigantic event, don’t you think? Me too. It got me thinking about when I was a child and I thought the stars were made out of glitter. (I also thought the moon was actually cheese, but that’s another story.) Mars and glitter and space travel magic are quintessential wanderlust facilitators.
Sara Broski of Tiny Galaxies has taken everything magic I have ever felt about the sky and traveling and translated it into fantastically chic jewelry. Broski started working with resin and perfected her craft (while honing her metalworking techniques) and uses her unique vision to create accessories that marry two of my favorite things: “simplicity and sparkle.” Aside from the beauties I have pictured above, these super tiny circle post earrings and these globe earrings in sparkly taupe seem destined for all of your wanderlust adventures. Around the world! Space would be cool, but I would love the opportunity to explore the cultures of the world…and food! Astronaut food doesn’t seem all that appealing.

Oh boy this is a no brainer for me. I would defo pick the trip around the world.If we were meant to live in space we would have been born there. Plus I hear the shopping there sucks.

Even though there’s a chance I’d look better in my bikini in a zero-gravity environment, I’d spend waaay too long trying to decide which shoes to pack–you know they only allow one carry-on bag in space! Add the fact that there are still so many parts of this world I’d still like to see, and you’ll understand why I have to choose earth over space!
This is a tough one but I’d choose an all expense paid trip around the world!
Eventually we’ll all get an opportunity to go into space. Maybe not our generation, but probably our kids, and grandkids.
If it were truly a possibility, I’d pick the all expenses paid trip around the world…but in the land of make-believe and possibilities, I’d choose to fly into space. The ability to be a part of infinity delights my mind.

I have always wanted to travel to other countries, so I would pick the trip around the world! I should mention that I have a fear of flying and I don’t do so well being away from home for more than a week at a time, but nonetheless, if I had a paid trip it would be the chance of a lifetime. Space would be really cool to see but I might get too freaked out.

I would take the trip around the world. I barely understand the amount of a grain of sand about our planet and it’s inhabitants, it would be best to start with that lol. I like looking at space with the ground under my feet as well…I’m a bit of a scardy cat when it comes to the death vacuum of space. In the end I just am reminded of being in Florence Italy with my super geek of an uncle and his telescope looking at the best sky of my life.
I would rather travel the world. I would NEVER get into a spaceship!
Wow, I think travelling the world would be the clear choice…BUT having grown up on really good sci-fi, and with Curiosity landing being so exciting… I’d take the space!!
