it's for you love songs

{shop :: Facebook}

Every year for the holidays, there is some sort of art under the tree. If there is one thing that can always bring good tidings, it is art that makes you feel a bit more inspired to be the best you possible, don’t you think? Here at the BSP, we are huge fans of art (and artists) and firmly believe you would be hard pressed to find a better way to surround yourself with inspiration. Today’s featured artist is another one we are proud to introduce to you, dear readers.

Tracie Hise creates art as a reflection of the life around her. Hise’s natural surroundings provide the backdrop for beautiful work that illustrates exactly how amazing our lives can be when we stop to really look at it. Each piece is bold and bright and colorful and reflects a full life. Take some time to browse the gallery and find a piece that speaks to you, to your life. You might just find your new source of inspiration.

    The best gift I ever gave was a set of 4 small paintings, by me, of various flowers found in Jamaica. They were for my dad, who loves Jamaica. I painted them in the style of art-deco though.

    The Christmas I worked a part time holiday job while the kids were in school to buy my husband motorcycle gear and he was so surprised!  I loved being able to gift him with something he really wanted, all his own, and he had no idea!  Plus how I paid for it also was a gift, because while he knew I was working, he had said to do whatever I wanted with the money and had no idea my plans were for him!

    My kids and I made homemade Christmas Ornaments that we then gave to their grandmother.  It has pictures of them and she hangs them on her tree every Christmas.

    I gave my kids the gift of life. Boom. Beat that, world! In all honesty, creating life is an awesome power. Even though motherhood has cost me my body (and sometimes I feel like my sanity), the continual giving of myself teaches me humility and a love deeper than articulation.

    The best gift I have ever given would have to be the old Super 8 movies I had transferred to DVD for my family. Somehow for me there is nothing better than the gift of good memories!
