Giveaway :: Uncommon Goods
{ please visit uncommon goods here }
Maybe it’s just me, but I can’t help but feel like the world is my oyster every time I sit down with a well curated catalog. Ever since I was a child, I have spent many a night with my feet tucked under me on the couch, circling item after item in catalog after catalog. Before bookmarks and online wishlists, there were folded down pages and highlighters. I could tell you this obsession passed as I grew older, but I would be lying. And I like you too much to lie to you. In fact, I have a stack of catalogs sitting next to me right this very moment, begging for attention. On the top of the pile is my absolute favorite: Uncommon Goods. What better way to kick off our February theme of “We Heart It” than to bring you the cream of the crop?
To say that I’m over the moon to showcase Uncommon Goods for our January finale is an understatement. They help me accomplish the often unattainable status of “best gift-giver EVER” on many an occasion. From fun gifts for guys to creative gift ideas for women, there is something for everyone. And we’re not talking your run of the mill can opener and/or keychain (not that there’s anything wrong with can openers or keychains.) Rather, we’re talking one of a kind, unique gifts (Catapult Kit!) that make your heart swell with pride and you will find yourself high-fiving strangers for no apparent reason. That is what pure happiness does to you, my friends.

My sister got me a turquoise wool hat for Christmas several years ago. It was totally frivolous–just what a gift should be! I wear it all winter long!
A rock….. yup… just a plain old rock that one would pass by as they are walking down the street.. it’s not pretty, nor is it shiny. But, to this day it has a place in a little pocket inside my purse and it makes me smile daily.
When my younger sister was born in 1979, she “gave” me a Mr Potato Head when she came home from the hospital, so I wouldn’t resent her intrusion into my life. My sister and the potato were the best gifts I’ve ever been given.
A red leather handbag. It was my husband first present for my birthday. He remembered the exact red handbag we saw some days before and went to the shop with a very bad flu to buy it. When I use this handbag I feel like the most beautiful and happy woman in the world!
