Giveaway :: Untold Imprint
{please visit Untold Imprint here}
Since this month is all about wanderlust, it just wouldn’t be the same unless I suggested a few absolute packing essentials for traveling. I am a firm believer that (aside from clothes and toiletries) there are three necessities that make packing simple without sacrificing style. First, an amazing pair of shoes that can translate from daytime strolls to late night drinks. Second, simple and chic jewelry you can wear the entire trip. Last, the perfect accessory combo: a gorgeous scarf and a hat. Now, what kind of suggestion giving fool would I be if I didn’t at least give you one example of how to make this happen?
Phoebe Stout is the artist behind Untold Imprint, a shop where you can find gorgeous hand printed and hand dyed textiles that will make you feel like you have you have the world by a string. Remember that part where I suggested you take a gorgeous scarf on vacation with you? Look no further. These cotton gauze printed scarves are the quintessential accessory that will turn your trip abroad (even if it is just to dinner across the street) into an enchanted adventure. (This plum number is something special, don’t you think?) Stout also creates amazing jewelry, linens, and artwork. I’m tempted to buy a scarf just so I have a reason to travel. Is that weird? I didn’t think so.

signed, sealed, delivered… not your typical love song, but that’s my pick.
I’ll be seeing you
I have to go with what popped into my head first: Two-Headed Boy by Neutral Milk Hotel. Not sure if that is how they meant it, but there is a longing to it that has always felt like a love song to me.
Moondance by Van Morrison. :))))
“All is Fair” by Stevie Wonder
“Green Eyes” by Coldplay. Absolutely stunning. Closely followed by “I Found a Reason” covered by Cat Power.
“The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” by Roberta Flack
Everlong, by the Foo Fighters
Thinking About Your Body …don’t know who sings it.
I also love The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face….makes me want to cry, it holds so much feeling in those lyrics.
“It’s amazing how you can speak right to my heart
Without saying a word, you can light up the dark
Try as I may I could never explain
What I hear when you don’t say a thing”…
When you say nothing at all – Ronan Keating . My 3 yo son thinks I’m singing it to him. My husband thinks the same. What better way to make both my boys happy?!
Waiting on an Angel by Ben Harper
Unchained Melody gets me every time. <3
[...] two scarves from Untold Imprint :: a pair of earrings and a necklace from Minicyn [...]
I asked my husband this question and his answer was “pour some sugar on me” by Def Leppard. Men.
“Wouldn’t It Be Nice” by The Beach Boys
Angel of Mine by Monica. Thanks for the beautiful giveaway

You Never Can Tell written by Chuck Berry and performed by Bob Seger…”it was a teenage wedding and the old folks wished them well”…the story of my marriage, definitely my favorite love song!
“You Can Be My Yoko Ono” by The Barenaked Ladies :p
“The Greatest Story Ever Told” -Oliver James. Even if you don’t pick my comment, you must at least listen to it. I don’t think it’s very well known, but it has such a sweet message.
“You Send Me” by Sam Cooke 1957
R&B classic, simple and sweet, like love and life should be. Also going from infatuation to love and the commitment of marriage.
I walked down the aisle to “Never my love”. I get teary every time it comes on the classic rock station.
I see that someone else likes Moondance– that was our, ahem,honeymoon album.
My husband and I waffled about what to choose for our first dance song at our wedding. We really love “The Luckiest” by Ben Folds, but having a character die in the song felt…not entirely appropriate for our first dance, heh. (We did dance to it later in the evening. I LOVE that song.) We toyed with a few other options, I’d always envisioned “At Last” as my song, but his brother had used it and then gotten divorced. Finally, after the song “Time After Time” popped up a few times in our lives (on the radio, in movies, etc), my husband decided to explore that idea. He found a lovely version of it by a band called Quietdrive, which was perfect for our needs: a little more uptempo and not terrifically long (we knew we’d feel awkward if our first dance was clocking, like, 4:30 worth of the reception, heh). That particular version has become “our” song to a huge degree. It also really embodies what I love about being a married unit. We’ve faced a few challenges since tying the knot, and even when things are rocky, we really can count on each other for support.

My favourite love song is All I Want Is You by U2. The song was written by Bono to his wife of 30 years. It is pure poetry.
IN YOUR EYES by Peter Gabriel.

New favorite has to be Wanted by Hunter Hayes. Such a good love song.
