{please visit Untold Imprint here}

Since this month is all about wanderlust, it just wouldn’t be the same unless I suggested a few absolute packing essentials for traveling. I am a firm believer that (aside from clothes and toiletries) there are three necessities that make packing simple without sacrificing style. First, an amazing pair of shoes that can translate from daytime strolls to late night drinks. Second, simple and chic jewelry you can wear the entire trip. Last, the perfect accessory combo: a gorgeous scarf and a hat. Now, what kind of suggestion giving fool would I be if I didn’t at least give you one example of how to make this happen?

Phoebe Stout is the artist behind Untold Imprint, a shop where you can find gorgeous hand printed and hand dyed textiles that will make you feel like you have you have the world by a string. Remember that part where I suggested you take a gorgeous scarf on vacation with you? Look no further. These cotton gauze printed scarves are the quintessential accessory that will turn your trip abroad (even if it is just to dinner across the street) into an enchanted adventure. (This plum number is something special, don’t you think?) Stout also creates amazing jewelry, linens, and artwork. I’m tempted to buy a scarf just so I have a reason to travel. Is that weird? I didn’t think so.

Untold Imprint is giving away two cotton gauze hand dyed and hand printed scarves  to two winners! One each in the winners’ choice of color! To enter to win, please answer the following question by Monday, August 27th. Comments now closed…good luck!

    When personal feelings are added to a song and moments coincide with a song choice it changes everything. The song, “Motion Picture Soundtrack” by Radiohead is the most romantic song in the world to me. My cousin is a beautiful violinist and for my wedding she created a compilation based on this song for me to walk down the aisle to. The melodies and harmonies that come from this song are haunting and beautiful, and I remember every breath, every look and every thought as I walked toward my husband on that day. Every time I hear it I can’t help but smile.

    I love “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz. It was the song we danced our first dance to at my wedding. There’s a line that says “our name is our virtue.” It really made it hit home that this man was giving me himself, including his name, which is a precious gift to give a woman.
